It also has a preheat cycle that warms the pad up quickly, and then drops it down to the last setting you used.I turn it on about 30 minutes before I go to bed, and when I get in bed it's nice and warm. So warm that my Chihuahua, who is a chilly willy fur baby, burrows under the covers and stays there all night.It's a great item and at an affordable price, and the fabric quality is excellent. The controller has a zero noise level, and i fall asleep quickly on itThis is for our split king XL bed. My wife likes it chilly, so her side doesn't have a pad.Great quality, and I'm enjoying it.
