A nice telescope to get started with astronomy and stargazing
I ordered this telescope about a week ago and received it in 2 days. So here is my review after using it for a couple of nights- The entire package comes in a nice bag which makes it easy to carry around. It doesn't weight much and you can take it with you pretty much anywhere. There are 2 eyepieces - 10 mm and 25 mm and a 3x barlow lens which effectively triples the focal length of the scope, giving you a more zoomed in view of the object that you are looking at. There is a phone adapter to take photos/videos using your smartphone and a phone mounting bracket so that you can also use your phone installed with a stargazing app to point the scope in the right direction. I took my scope out on a rare clear night and looked at Saturn. I was able to find it easily using the given finderscope. I used the 25 mm lens to get a wider view and then switched to 10 mm and I was able to get nice views of Saturn and its rings. With 3x barlow, I could get a clear view of Saturn with 25 mm eyepiece at 96x but with the 10 mm eyepiece, the magnification is a bit too much and the Saturn moves rather quickly out of the field of the view at 240x. Considering this, a 2x barlow would have been a better choice as it would restrict the magnification to a more practical value of 160x. Having said that, I have no complaints with the quality of optics and the accessories provided. The quality of optics is top notch. Everything works as expected. The mount adjustment is straightforward and the switching between the lens is convenient. Finderscope helps to easily find the target. Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Moon along with brighter deep sky targets like Andromeda galaxy, Orion nebula, Dumbbell nebula can potentially be good stargazing targets. Overall I am quite happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to get started with stargazing without breaking the bank My advice to make the most of it would be to buy a solar filter and either a 15 mm eyepiece or 2x barlow to limit the magnification to a more practical value. Cheers and Clear skies !

Excellent Quality, Reasonably Priced, Breathtaking Views!
I have been fascinated by the skies since I was kid. I was hesitant to purchase a telescope because of the outrageous pricing. I came across this one, one of the only reasonable priced ones I could find, and thought the risk was worth the potential reward. I am happy to report, I hit a homerun with this one! Excellent quality without breaking the bank. My main takeaways are: 1. EASY installation. All in, it took a little over 10 minutes. My 15-year-old niece did most of the work. It’s very intuitive. 2. HIGH Quality material. It looks and feels much more expensive than it is. 3. EASY Transportation. It’s very light weight. I can move it from my deck, to the house, to the front porch with ease. It breaks down just as easy as you can put it together. It comes with a case. You can have back in the case and in the car in under 15 minutes. 4. GREAT Views. You get the same thing as you would from any other scope with a 10mm and 25mm magnification (it comes with these two). ADVICE – Use the 10mm first (lower magnification, broader view) to spot what you are looking for. Then use the 25 mm to get a closer view. Alternatively, it comes a with a side spotter scope you could use to locate. You do need to calibrate the side scope first to its aligned with the main scope. 5. EASY to change positions. It swivels and adjusts up and down in a very intuitive way. 6. DETAILED instructions. My advice, take the time to read the instructions (not a long read). They are very well put together and will save you frustration if this is your first scope. 7. The phone attachment is a game changer. If it’s annoying/difficult for you to close one eye the phone attachment aligns your phone’s camera the view hole. You can see just as you would with your eye. ADVICE – spend a couple bucks on an eye patch, it makes manually viewing soooo much easier. Also, make sure your eye is a couple centimeters back from the scope when viewing and that you are in a DARK area. If you’re an astronomy junky like me or just looking for some good old-fashioned entertainment, you can’t go wrong here (kids love it). Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The skies are great this time of the year around me!

Great Telescope for Beginners and Stargazing Enthusiasts
The Dianfan Telescope is a great choice for anyone looking for an easy-to-use telescope with good views of the night sky. Here are some of the things I liked most about it: * **Clear Views:** The 90mm aperture gathers enough light to deliver clear and bright images of the moon, stars, and even some deep space objects. * **Multiple Magnification Options:** The included eyepieces and Barlow lens provide a variety of magnification levels, so you can get a close-up view of craters on the moon or a wider field of view of a star cluster. * **Portable and Easy to Use:** The telescope is relatively lightweight and comes with a stainless steel tripod that is easy to set up. It also includes a carry bag for easy transport and storage. * **Great for Kids and Beginners:** The telescope is easy to use and maneuver, making it a great option for kids or anyone who is new to astronomy. The included phone adapter allows you to take pictures of what you see through the telescope, which is a great way to share your observations with others. Overall, the Dianfan Telescope is a great value for the price. It is a good option for anyone who wants to explore the night sky without spending a fortune on a telescope. Here are some additional points to consider: * While the advertised magnification goes up to 240x, keep in mind that higher magnifications can sometimes produce blurrier images due to atmospheric conditions. The best views are often obtained at lower magnifications. * This telescope is a refractor telescope, which means it uses lenses to collect light. Refractor telescopes are generally good for viewing celestial objects, but they may not be the best choice for viewing faint deep space objects. If you are looking for a beginner-friendly telescope that will allow you to explore the wonders of the night sky, the Dianfan Telescope is a great option.

Disappointing Quality and Difficult to Use
I was disappointed with this telescope. The setup was more difficult than expected, and the tripod did not feel very stable. The image quality was also not as clear or sharp as I expected from a 90mm aperture telescope. The phone adapter was difficult to use and didn’t hold my phone securely. Overall, I don’t think this telescope lives up to the “high powered” and “professional” description. Based on my experience, I would not recommend it, especially for beginners who expect an easy setup and clear views.

Honest owners review and capability
This was my first purchase of any form of telescope, i’ve always been intrigued with space and wanted to take the first step into viewing astronomy. This telescope is a wonderful first telescope. It’s very easy to use very quick to set up. And very portable, so far after three days of using it I was able to view Venus and the moon. Venus doesn’t show up with a lot of detail, but that’s with a lot of telescopes. The moon was pretty detailed. I only wish I could’ve viewed it closer. It’s a very stable telescope. Nothing feels loose or broken whatsoever. I would absolutely save for a starter telescope this one has performance for price

Good Telescope for beginners, especially for the price, do your research
TL;DR I like this telescope, Its good to begin with and see if you like the hobby. I really like the case it comes with and the tripod, they didnt dissapoint in that regard to quality. Expect Image quality to reduce as you zoom in further and further. thats not a "this telecope" problem, its an "all telescopes" problem. this is meant for hobby stargazing, and hobby sightseeing, it has a limit dont expect proffesional quality from a sub-$200 telescope. It is very capable for what it costs. Setup is very easy and everything fits in place nicely, no jamming things in or tools needed. I bought it without knowing anything about telescopes except i wanted some ultra long zoom like with binoculars. I mainly use it for looking at ships off the beach and around nature where im at. For reference, the lowest zoom on this scope can just about make out the names of ships a mile or two away (32x magnification). the image quality dropped a lot once i tried to max it out with the barlow lens and second eyepeice, again, not this telescopes problem, its all telescopes. After i bought it i did more research and Heres my advice. First off, the telescope does not gove you the zoom, the eyepiece does. if you want higher magnification, buy an eyepiece and prepare for an image quality drop if your aperture isnt big enough. Magnification equals focal length(length of the telescope, in this case 800mm) divided by the eyepiece size, 25mm and 10mm in this case, which comes to 32x and 80x respectively, those will give the best quality image in daily use. the barlow lens gets you to 96x and 240x but quality DROPS(all telescopes). the only way to get a higher quality image is to increase the aperture(front lens size). you will not find anything above 100mm on amazon unless you get a newtonian reflector which is basically only for stargazing. this telescope is on the higher size side and perfoms well. Overall i like this telescope and any problems i had with it were debunked by a bit of research. Mind you, in astronomy groups, this is considered a department store telescope, which means exactly what you think in terms of quality, but thats true for every amazon telescope except a few. this one is a top player in its field.

This Telescope is The Best All Around
This Telescope Is Amazing! After unpackaging the telescope, the first thing I noticed is that it was very neat and all of the many accessories fit nicely into the carrying bag. Everything has a place and it is a breeze to unpack and set up no matter where you go to view the night sky. Another great feature of the telescope is that there is plenty of documentation and there are step by step instructions on how to use each different component. I absolutely love the manual that it comes with. It is far from your average cheap, hard to read, chinglish manual that doesn't help you at all. The manual is in full color and printed on a sturdy book-like base to make sure that it lasts long. The next thing that I want to talk about is how sturdy the tri-pod is. Typically I expect to throw out the low quality tri-pod that comes with telescopes but this one is a behemoth. It is very solid and built from what appears to be stainless steel. You don't have to worry about the wind shaking the telescope while you're trying to achieve focus. The mount is also very handy as it is incredibly steady and easy to make fine adjustments. Moving on to the telescope itself, the sheer amount of zoom that you can get with this thing is crazy. When I'm not using it to look at the moon, sometimes I use it to get stunning pictures of birds or other wildlife from afar. And what's great is I can get super cool pictures with my phone. I've seen loads of different tries at making a decent smartphone mount but I've never seen one this good. It makes it so easy to line up my phone camera with the eye piece. My phone is kinda big too and the mount had no problem holding on to my phone and keeping it steady while I took pictures. Unfortunately my phone camera is not the greatest so I can't include a picture of it but I just used it to see the rings on saturn. Overall, I recommend this telescoope because it's just the best bang for your buck. I recommend the telescope to anyone loooking to get into the hobby and even those who have a little experience. You are absolutely getting the best bang for your buck.

Fantastic quality, easy setup, amazing clarity at a fraction of the cost of competitors!
WOW! I’m an amateur astrophotographer and have been debating on what kind of telescope to get for a while. A friend suggested this one, and I was impressed with their opinion and the price point. I recommend this telescope for anyone of any age looking for a casual scope, or for applied cases like astrophotography, you really cannot go wrong. This telescope performs equally to one of the $800ish models I was considering that another friend has. This has me thinking perhaps I have been lead to believe brand name = better, but this telescope proves that is not the case. I was immediately impressed with the quality of packaging and the carrying case. Upon unboxing I was so pleased to see that there is a compartment for the main body of the scope and the tripod - this isn’t always the case, I have been in stargazing experiences and people have multiple packs for the tripod and telescope, one case is a huge bonus! The tripod is of the highest quality! I am so impressed with the workmanship and materials! It is a fantastic weight, it’s not too light, but it not so heavy that it would be cumbersome to carry long distances if needed. Ideal for withstanding breezy nights or days if that’s what you’re into. The scope is excellent. Setup was quick, I didn’t read the instructions until it came to the phone mount. The body attaches to the tripod with quality metal parts. I was quite pleased again that there was so much attention to workmanship and detail. I used 3x Barlow lense and the 25mm eye piece with the phone adapter to capture some quick images of the moon and play with the telescope. My phone is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the images were taken with my 48mm lense, raw with no adjusted settings or night mode. I’m quite pleased with the quality of the images, and was surprised that the mount could withstand the weight and size of my 15 Pro Max! My husband decided to come have a peak at the moon with the telescope, and his first impression was awe. The clarity and detail we were able to see from the moon were outstanding. 10/10 impressed with this scope! I look forward to continued use. I will update this review with images of other planets when I have more time to play 🙂 I’m over the moon impressed with this telescope from Dianfan, I was looking for a scope I could use with my phone and they have saved me hundreds without causing me to sacrifice quality. Thanks Dianfan!
