Delicious quality pork jerky. Yummy :-)

I have ordered this at least 6 times and sent to family, who love it also. Beware of storage instructions. In addition, no nutrition values on the packaging (just additional info) It really is a serious Singapore flavor.

I traveled many times to Singapore for work. Singapore is one of the best places for foodies. Cuisines from all over are available. I would buy bakkwa (grilled pork) to snack on. It is very popular item there. I've looked for it here but was never lucky enough to find it .....until now. I found this and tried it by buying a small sample. This version brought back many memories of my times in Singapore. Its taste is right there. My only (minor) wish was that it was grilled a bit more. I'm glad I found it and am definitely reordering. Now if I could only find Singaporean Pepper crab! I recommend.

I have never written a negative or bad review and this is my first. This is definitely not the type of authentic bah gua that you are expecting for the following reasons: 1.) the thickness- this is rather a very thick and barely chewable piece of meat. This is more like America type of jerky, which is dried an harder. If you are craving for some authentic Malaysian / Singaporean style jerky, this is not the type you are looking for 2.) Taste- this is a very bland and lack of fire grilled flavor. Further I can taste expired oil within the meat (that’s not pleasant at all) 3.) expensive- I get the idea that this is made to order, but this price for only 4 piece of meats in a package, that’s rather expensive.

I've tried two other jerkies from this company, the beef and the spicy bacon. They are both first rate, but both already have plenty of positive reviews, so I won't add mine. But this pork jerky was a bit of a disappointment after the others. It just doesn't have a lot of flavor. The overall quality was fine, and it was freshly made, but it was just sort of blah.

This is one of the best pork jerky that I had, including Hsin Tung Yang / 新東陽 brand. It is quite expensive but whether it is worth it or not varies from person to person. I'll be buying more of them maybe twice a year and serve as a special treat.
