Unique and vibrant colors
I have been dying my hair for 30+ years, starting with manic panic I have tried Artic Fox, Punky Color, Special Effects, Pravana Chromasilk (OG), and a host of other random Brands. Yet to try Pulp Riot and good dye young. That all being said, my review is such. This brand reminds me a lot of original formula Manic Panic. Deep and Rich colors and heavy on the color bleed. I find the aquamarine color bleed the worst so far, no problems with the Amethyst myself. My hair is soft and manageable after using this, the smell is quite mild and nice as well. I find the color holds best when used immediately after lightening while your hair follicles are still a bit more receptive to color. My color strand test immediately after lightening did not bleed as much and stayed very well for the greens and blues with only 10m development time. The pinks did not hold as well with this amount of time.I found the formula a dream to work with. Just the right consistency to go on and spread easily to just where I wanted it for this look.Blending the colors was different the hues are not mixed the way many others and if you mix amethyst and red, you will not get a pretty purple. Saphire and purple creates an amazing royal Blurple. The greens and blues on this line are unlike any I have used before, I could mix the colors they give us but rarely did I find these deep hues quite this way, the unique color profile makes buying the emerald, aquamarine and Saphire worth it alone.I would even say the emerald is the perfect forest green. It is truly stunning and I honestly forgot to put it in my hair and was heartbroken because it is so beautiful and rich. The red is also a perfect red IMO, a wonderful deep and vibrant red, though I didn’t use it in this style. The yellow, orange and light green in my photo are IroIro as my yellow funshine bear did not arrive in time. For the reviews that state this gets everywhere, this is much like any deep pigment dye I have used and, like most conditioning colors, it will adhere better to less than healthy hair. So I highly recommend buying a color bowl kit and gloves and rinsing your hair in a shower that won’t stain. Every dye I have used stains my shower to some degree and if you want it to last longer, bleach your hair.I will absolutely use this dye again, it is incredibly rich and vibrant and makes my hair wonderfully soft. I cannot speak to how long the color bleed will last but if it is pervasive that is a definite deal breaker for most, it will stain your everything and sometimes your hands and neck with bad enough bleed.Still 5 stars because it is one of the best dyes I have used and many brands have one or two colors that bleed. If anyone at INH reads this, please make an orange color :).Update: the color bleed ceased and the color is now simply gorgeous with no ill effects. After first wash the colors were still incredibly vibrant and my hair is silky, shiny and soft.

100% recommend!!
I've purchased from INH a few times now, I can easily recommend this product to anyone interested in coloring their hair! I originally bought the green color, it matched exactly what the image provided for my hair color (brunette, not a super dark brown but definitely brown). I colored the green around mid-late July 2025 and it remained just as vibrant for a full month and wasn't completely out until December 2025 (though you'd have to be looking for green to see it by then). Purchased the pink color the second time, it was perfectly vibrant and beautiful for about... 3-6 days? Definitely washed out faster. Had it since late December 2025 (time of posting this review is Jan 27 2026), and its for sure still there, but would require touching up a lot more frequently if I wanted to keep up the brighter pink I loved! Pink can be a very finnicky color though, and Im sure if I had lighter hair it would have definitely lived as long as the emerald green did!I havent had any issues with staining, besides my bra and somehow my knee, but if you're concerned then rinse your hair in a metal sink (I didnt even need to bleach out the sink after i colored, but you can if youre concerned) OR having isopropyl alcohol on hand when rinsing your hair over porcelaine. It IS still dye, so it will stain things if you arent responsible.Next I plan on getting the blue color, once I can boil the rest of this pink off my head lol. Its definitely the best alternative when you dont want to use permanent colors or bleach!

favorite hair dye
ive been usuing this brand sense highschool and 10/10 its really pigmented!! ive tried the blue, pink and green so far and both where really good. the blue fades into a ACTUAL light blue instead of a greenish color. im constantly changing hair colors and have tried LOTS of different hair dyes and i always come back to this brand. this is my hair after about 5 washes!! (u do need to bleach your hair tho in my experience) (also the green lasted like 3 months without a re dye but it came out supper easily with color remover)

Vibrant and beautiful
I'm going to be honest, I saw a video of this stuff pop up in my feed when I was looking for a color to replace my platinum blonde peekaboo hair color. I instantly feel in love with the color and had to try it for myself. Yes, I fell in love and yes the color is as vibrant as what I was presented with. I selected the Aquamarine Blue from Insert Color Here and had it sit for a whole hour on my head. While applying it I enjoyed the scent that it gave and the idea that it helps to nourish and repair damaged hair. That was like a double win-win for me, going through previous lengths to make my hair blonde in the first place. I can assume that one jar of this color could potentially color the whole head, as I have only colored it blue once, and have half of the jar left. As for rinsing hair off in the shower to keep my hair clean, DO expect lots of color leaking, it just keeps going. The first few times you wash, the color in the hair still has excess dye so it has more tendency to fall and stain your fingers and back, which was my least favorite part to clean off :( . Though there was lots of tendency for the color to leak during showers, you can expect that almost any other permanent and colored hair paints. I definitely would reconsider getting this color once I am out of it and the other eye-catching colors I couldn't throw on my hair at once :D

Stains but Worth it
Definitely follow the instructions and use the petroleum jelly to avoid skin from stains. The application of the product was easy and simple. Very satisfied with the purchase and the product, the product shows better on lighter color hair, not so visible on black.

Amazing color payoff, but bleeds and stains EVERYTHING!
I've been dying my hair bright colors for many years and I was very excited to try out the INH one for it's deep conditioning properties. The color turned out amazing, and it's super conditioning which left my hair really soft. If that's all that matters to you than I 100% recommend it.However, this is the first dye that I've had a hair dye that bleeds this much and stains everything. I used gloves for the application so that was not an issue, but my fingers turn purple when I blow dry or style my hair even after multiple washes. My white nail polish is now light pink and my fingertips turn purple from just touching my dry hair. My towel and pillowcases and stained and it did not come off in a regular wash cycle. It's very annoying since I've been doing this for years with multiple different brands (even bright red permanent dyes) and never had this happen, so I was completely unprepared for the amount of staining. As amazing as the color is, I don't think it's worth the inconvenience of having to do multiple washes and maybe even use bleach to remove the stains from towels, bedding, and even the tiles in my shower. But as I said, if the staining does not matter to you, the color is amazing.

Beautiful color. Easy to apply. Do read my story though and learn from my mistakes 🤪
Ok. So first, I color my hair all the time. Lately though the color doesn't "attach" to my hair, only in some spots. I did research and it just didn't give me any real answers. So I started looking at different hair color kit options. I've done the red/burgundy, blue and some green. I wanted something different and found this product. The reviews were decent so I tried it. I only bought 1 container and worried it wouldn't be enough as I usually use 2 tubes/kits and whatnot. Then it's more of a paste than liquid but it's soft and gooey and it's easy to apply. 1 container was more than enough. Than the wait. There's a smell but not hugely offensive. I was reading as I waited and noticed some spots looked shiny and not purple. 🫤 it threw me off but like I said my hair has been weird so I decided to wait and see. I rinsed it in the shower and of course that's always a mess, but it's the price you pay beauty 😆 anyhow, when I opened my eyes, my hands were completely purple. As were spots on my legs where the water runs off. Holy balls, I did panic. While no one who knows me would be surprised this would happen to me, I do work in a professional office and I cannot look like a cheap knockoff smurf! I got out and looked in the mirror, I was most certainly turning purple. Once I breathed, I finished showering and used polish remover on my hands and a cotton pad with alcohol on my face, neck and ears. I'm happy to say, I'm no longer purple. 🙂 the hair color is gorgeous and it took to all of my hair. I will be using it again. With gloves on when I wash it off and on a Friday night so I have 2 days to return to my normal non purple complexion.

Don't know is it's smart but did it anyway
First time trying this product, and coloring my beard. Went right over the gray I do have to apply at least once a week to keep the color on my sideburns. However this is probably due to the amount I wash my have and products I use. Overall pleased and will be using again. I'm going in a month now with the beard blue. Still happy.

Cannot recommend highly enough!
I bought both Emerald and Aquamarine and deeply enjoy them both. For reference, my hair is medium blonde-brown, down to my hips, and I dye about 10"/20 cm at the bottom on unbleached hair. I highly recommend both colours with the littlest caveat that they both lean a teeny bit more teal than the pictures show. (Which for me was excellent, but I also understand that some people are looking for pure green and pure blue. They're not, but they're probably as close as you'll get with how vibrant and jewel-toned they are.)These dyes are perfect for anyone who wants super rich jewel-toned greens and blues without bleaching or in-product lightening. I've gotten up to three weeks before the colour really begins to fade out even though I wash my hair every day (this may be different for you if your hair is short or you dye near the root). It doesn't smell bad and is easy to use. I just dip a dye brush into the container and layer it on strips of my hair, making sure to soak it thoroughly, then rinse it out in the sink with warm water until it runs clear. I usually also shower afterward, though I don't shampoo the dyed parts directly. For a few days afterward, I do get some light run-off in the tub (probably more due to the shampoo), but no transfer on my sheets, clothes or furniture. The package says to leave it on for about 45 minutes, but I let it set for an hour and a half just to be sure. I don't notice any irritation when it gets on my skin, and it washes off pretty easily. It will definitely stain if you get dye directly on cloth, though, so have an old towel ready. For anyone who wants a rich semi-permanent dye they can slap on their hair, leave to dry, then rinse and move on, this is the product for you. It's my go-to replacement now that I've run out of the semi-permanent Sephora Collection used to have and well worth the price.

Very very impressed. 10/10 highly recommend
This hair color is insanely good. I have never strayed from my vegan Manic Panic. But this was worth straying for. However. This is not what I THOUGHT it was. But I think I was a little dumb.Basically, I had bought Rock the locks VERY TEMPORARY "conditioner hair mask depositing color" but the store sold out and are not restocking it. I decided I would look for another, typed in conditioner hair color depositing mask, and INH is the one that popped up. It DOES say it is conditioning, however, it is BY FAR not a temporary mask, which I would have figured out had I read it less quickly hahaha. Alicia: if it says semi permanent on the box, it is not a temporary color depositing mask. Hahahah.Anyway, it was a very pleasant mistake to make. I was using temporary color that sits on top of the hair instead of staining the hair follicle because I was trying to keep my natural brown underneath once this fades. I do not know if I will have a hair stain, purple hair stain almost never happens, so I will update this to report back on how it fades. But for right now, if I had put this color in on bleached blonde hair, my hair would be bright electric purple. I have several strands of grey hairs that are literally electric ultra violet purple. Since I did not bleach my hair, it turned out a gorgeous deep violet that pops like CRAZY in the sun.As with any dye: you NEED gloves. This color stains things HAAARD. You HAVE to rinse the dye out until you stop getting extremely dark dye colored water. After 15 rinses I simply gave up, but I clearly way overloaded my hair with dye, left it in a very long time since it's vegan (VEGAN IS PART OF WHY I BOUGHT IT. color deposits sooo much better if it's vegan and you can leave it in a looong time rather than 20 mins for a harsh box dye) and clearly needed more rinsing but my arms were just dead hahahah. So I am getting dye soaked hands and face and pillow case and clothing simply because my hair is still so dye soaked that it's transferring. However, I do believe that's avoidable by simply rinsing your hair longer than I did.My hair is about 3 feet long and 4 ounces of hair dye covers my whole head, however I have VERY thin hair, so take that as you will. The first couple showers you are going to maybe want to use gloves and wash your hair in a sink to avoid having to use rubbing alcohol to scrub color trails off your body and hands hahahah. But obviously that will lessen a LOT after the first couple showers once you get the dye properly fully rinsed.Just be aware that yes this dye is vegan, but it's still gonna stain clothing and yes you may need to use comet to clean your sink or shower after the first couple showers, but that's pretty normal for any dye really.Overall, 10/10 incredible color and seems like it's gonna last quite a long time. Very highly recommend. Pics show the color difference between sun and normal lighting and one pic of the color my hair was before I put the purple on and left it in maybe 4 hours in a shower cap. Very impressed :) I believe the color variance from the ends of my hair to the top of my head are due to having to continually squeeze the water out of my hair when showering, so I believe the ends are less dye soaked and therefore a bit if a lighter color. But it's kind of a neat gradient! My scalp clearly has more dye that needs rinsing compared to the ends due to the squeezing likely.

Best Purple INH hair dye !!!
Amazing INH Hair Dye!This is honestly one of the best hair dyes I’ve ever used. The color turned out vibrant and even, and it didn’t dry out my hair at all. It’s easy to apply, lasts well, and it smells super good — way better than most dyes. I’m definitely buying this again! , is really hard to find the perdect shade of purple , I used to mix blue olor with purple so make a vibrant purple but now I don’t have to mix anything , cuz I found the perfect purple shade

Don’t hesitate, this is the holy grail!
Red Ruby, over natural dark brown hair and blonde highlights, you can clearly see the difference. It absolutely saved my hair! I just got a horrible uneven hair dye at the salon , I was so sad and praying this color would save my hair and it did!!!! It looks 100% better than the salon red I used, plus feels like conditioner and not like hair dye. No bad smell, and it says to be careful it will dye your skin, but in my case I got it allllll over my arms, neck, face, and it all washed off easily, it only stained my hair.

Best Purple and Best Red
This product so far is the best purple dye I have tried.I haven't done any washes yet but the initial vibrancy and the way it's really saturated my hair tells me this is a huge win.The only disadvantage, as with any strong colour like this, it stains. Be careful to use it around anything porous. I would recommend only washing it out with a handheld tap or shower head and not let it run down your body ideally. I was able to get it out of my white tiling in the shower and plastic drain by using a magic eraser.Anyways, I love that it doesn't use harsh chemicals and am super happy with the product. For the purple, it comes out exactly as pictured, and my hair wasn't blonde. I had medium brown with light purple tips. It's made the brown a super nice deep ultra violet and then my ends are like electric purple.Highly recommend 🥰Update - I tried the red on my brown hair and it turned out just like the bottle!!I can't get over how odourless it is too in comparison to other dyes. It's awesome. Oh and somehow it didn't stain my scalp that bad either. The red didn't anyway ...I can't remember if the purple did or not. But yes sooooo good and I've tried a few different semi permanent brands. Definitely worth buying🩷
