A friend who's habit is to just walk in, not ring door bell, came over and when this thing went off I could hear it in the back of the house. Scared her, she stood on the porch screaming as it was loud and if she had shut the door it would have stopped..... Served the purpose. I looked at a lot of these type alarms but found this one was easiest to install as I did. The smaller magnetic piece with this device could stick to the door yet still be close enough to the door jam to work the alarm. There are many settings which was also helpful because I set it to stop once the door was closed again. Easy setup

deafening
This product is great for its purpose but it is deafening even at the lowest volume. I wish it had a tune, or a different chime option. It does the trick so definitely don't get me wrong it's a great product but my god, if I got it for a dementia patient, sure, I'll know when they leave but I might've just gave them a heart attack in the process.
