They are a liquid, so free flowing, but do leave a sticky residue if you get it on your hands and it dries, like you might expect from a sugary drink if you spilled it and it dried.

what is the expiration date please?

Obviously depends on their stock, but when I bought mine the best before date was about 6 months from then.
