BT house phone is ok does the work

I wasn't expecting much for the price. I don't really use the landline, but recently signed up with Sky and wanted a basic phone as back up. I used it to call my mobile number and it works, but when I call it from my mobile, all I can hear is a feint rattle. You have to be sitting right next to it in a quiet room to hear it. I can't be bothered to send it back and all the callers on my landline are scammers, so probably not a bad thing, but I would guess most people would expect their phone to ring when someone calls them.

Cheap and cheerful. Plus the ring on it is very loud so can hear from another room
