Works, blade is nice quality. So far it has held up to making spoons out of walnut, oak and beech woods. It has stayed sharp with minimal stropping. Good blade for the price.

I love this knife! One of my favorite knives for spoon bowls. I just like the angle of the scooping knife and it gives me the right amount of depth for my spoons! Flexcut always has great quality! Definitely recommend! It’s solid and well made!

I bought this to replace one that I bought years ago and have used heavily for spoons, bowls, just about everything. You will not be disappointed.

They are a b*&#% to sharpen if you let them get too dull! Your carving will be much better in general if you use a strop to keep your tools razor sharp. The polishing intervals recommended by flexcut are no joke. Keep a strop handy, and give them a polish every 20 minutes or so while carving. If you go longer, they are much harder to put a good edge on.

The finish on the handle was very poor. My son complained it was digging into his hand. I had to file and sand the handle to make it comfortable to use. Both for him and myself. For the cost should have been immaculate...but definitely was not.
