Multifunctional media device, everything you need it to,nothing more.
Are you tired of touch screens, and tablets that spy on you. Fear no longer for this device does everything you could possibly need it to do. The antenna that it comes with is very bare minimum and I really do recommend getting a larger vhf antenna so you can get a lot more channels. Batteries last some where around 2 hours and their is no warning it will just shut off. I found an old 12v CCTV lipo battery and that should get me a few hours more before needing to recharge. I would avoid using the onboard battery unless necessary and default to externally connected device like a solar battery or car charger. Besides that it will play music, movies, pictures, etc off USB. The best perk of all is real tactile push buttons, they feel cheap but they work. The speakers suck and they face away from you so using headphones or external speaker is gonna sound way better. All in all I really like this little screen it's versatile and very portable about the size of a hard cover book.managed to find an old portable dvd player bag the holds it and the larger antenna perfectly.

Good little media player and TV
I'll start by saying this is not a planted review, I bought this full price (Getting real tired of having to ignore 5 stars reviews because they are all fake) So far so good, bought it for a outside storm shelter and a portable media player for the car. I put the exterior magnetic antenna (the one with the 6 foot cord outside of the shelter.) And it will pick up a few channels I need for the weather. TV reception is just going to vary by location and antenna placement. I've tried it in a couple of places and some channels were better some we're worse. It includes an antenna adapter to hook up to a powered antenna. The 7 inch will run about a solid 1.5 hours on Antenna, not sure on the USB or SD, I assume it will run longer. It comes with a car charger, wall charger, rabbit ear style antenna, two corded extended antennas, remote and a couple of different mounts and wall mounts. The menus are a little clunky but not too difficult to navigate. The picture quality is very good although the viewing angles aren't great. The SD card does not insert all the way, so a low profile USB flash drive is the way to go. I loaded up a few video files and it played them no problem. Mostly MP4s and MPEG, don't think it will play AVI or MKV but haven't tested those yet. The only thing it's really missing is a headrest mount and a case, but that's just nitpicking and asking for too much. Overall I would give it 5 stars but gave it 4 so it wouldn't be seen as a fake review.

Very affordable portable TV
For the price, this is an excellent device. its not a HD screen, but good LCD Screen. At certain angle, the screen washout the image when its light colors, and gets black tones, when there is dark colors, again because is an LCD material. The audio is mono in two small speakers, very decent. I can hook into my portable speaker via auxiliary, it defies the purpose of "portability" oh well, I love to have it in high volume when I am alone. Did I mention, it is also an FM Radio? ;-) . The AV input works fine when I hook any other device, like dvd player or VCR. I am not sure about gaming since I don't use it for that purpose. The antennas does not have very potent signal. You are gonna miss some channels, and you need to go high ground, like a building, in order to obtain best signal channels, or hook to a much potent antenna. I only use it to watch the games when I am at work, and midday news. The remote control is super generic. I feel difficult to use the remote, its more easy to work with the buttons on the screen. The battery life is fair, despite reading some reviews that the battery doesn't last I guess it depends on the device). Fair, if not good, investment if you want to avoid those stream app subscriptions, these portable TVs are good to watch your favorite shows (if they are broadcast) and you are gonna save money for those sports subs apps and watch them live. A nostagia for boomers, a good conversation starter for some millenials and generation X, and a discovery for generation Z.

Doesn't pick up all available channels
I wanted to use this little TV to help align my roof antenna. It has a signal strength meter, and its portability makes it easy to see the picture quality. That was the intent. Here's what really happened: I spent WEEKS trying to align my antenna, because I knew that one tower, 15 miles west, broadcasting MeTV, was a low power transmitter, and I was trying to get it for my living room. I pulled in towers all over the Portland area, but that one little one was the only one I really wanted. My bedroom signal was perfect from that tower, and that used a flat, wall antenna. Here I was trying to use a rotating antenna on my roof with this little TV, and it was like that channel didn't exist. 2 weeks. Finally, I got the idea to try this Tyler TV in my bedroom, AND IT DID THE SAME THING, completely ignoring that tower. Connected the bedroom antenna back to my BR TV and bang, MeTV. 35 other channels on the little one, but not the one I wanted. Lastly, I ran the roof cable directly to my living room TV (55"), and, bang, MeTV. Perfect signal. I guess the Tyler tuner has a filter to ignore stations broadcasting at a specific wattage or lower. Anyway, the company never responded to my support request (and, if you look at the other 1 star reviews, you'll see that that's common). The folks at pbd (the antenna company) were extremely helpful, giving me troubleshooting ideas, and also came up with the idea that the Tyler TV was at fault (but I got there first). If you're happy getting THE BIG CHANNELS (NBC, etc.) then this little TV might be for you, but I wouldn't rely on it for anything low power. It gets one star because it didn't do the thing that I specifically needed it to do.

Great small TV
Great portable Tv, picture quality isn’t as great as an iPhone or iPad but for the money is great. Reception isn't the greatest when using the antenna that attaches to the top, though I suspect that it is because of how the digital over the air signal works and not with how this unit works. When I used the antenna that has a cord on it and positioned the antenna up and out reception was much better. But this kit came with adapter so you could plug any antenna you wish. I used the media player on here and it recognized my 128GB usb drive. I could not make the SD slot recognize any drive when I was using a micro SD and adapter. All of my videos are in MP4 format. The menus are easy and simple to operate but when using the media player only the first 14 letters of each file name and also doesn’t sort the files alphabetically but sorts them by last date modified old to new (I may be wrong about this). I still feel that alphabetically then numeral ordering would have been better. When using the TV input there is a button on the remote “EPG” that is a nice 8 hour guide for that channel, Closed captioning works well because the speakers wont blow your socks off but is good enough when the TV is only 2 feet away from you.So far I put the battery though two cycles and have gotten about two and half hours out of each charge, this kit comes with an 110 AC and DC “cigarette lighter” male charge cables. I wish that a case came with the TV and could fit all the accessories it came with because the TV doesn't feel like something that could take a drop to the ground. Dont lose the remote there alot of little functions that require the remote and cant be be done by the button on the TV.

Not a bad TV but not one that's worth keeping either.
This TV isn't bad, it works fine however, there are some things with it that are annoying with it. First of all, using the remote while using this TV as a hand-held TV is awkward. Along with that, they have the general use buttons on the TV but if you're using the antenna to scan for channels, you have to use the remote because there's no buttons on the TV itself to advance the menu options to hit "yes", it's stupid. Also, another thing with this TV that irritates me is trying to figure out how accees the MTS setting in the menu when it's not selectable in order to change the default SAP language from Spanish to English, is also stupid because there's nothing in the manual or on the TV or on the remote that's helpful for figuring it out. I will be returning this TV for something else like a better brand name portable TV.

Perfect for me
This little tv is just what I was looking for and within budget. I'm able to watch/listen to local tv news at the school I work in before kiddos come in. Perfect. It's perfect size to take back and forth to work. We tend to lose power during storms and I'm hopeful this will be a couple of hours of tv while the power is out. For me, a great value for my money. UPDATE: After using this for a month or so, the only things I would add would be a battery life indicator and illuminate the channel and volume buttons. Other than that, still perfect for me!
