For a cheaper watch, this thing is durable, and it looks great. If you want to drop $300 on a watch for good looks and great timekeeping, save yourself some serious money and grab a Casio. They have been making watches for decades, and it still has great quality.

This looks sharp without spending a fortune. Weight is nice but I also like a heavy watch. Keeps time great so far. Feels and looks of great quality. I have not tested the water resistance as of yet. Good for everyday use at the office.

I previously purchased the Casio A700W-1ACF and Casio G-Shock GA700UC-5A, then this one so I can have a "regular" analog timepiece. I was already sold on the looks, though I wasn't aware that this isn't sold on the United States Casio storefront. [Design] The Casio MTP-VD01D-1BV "Enticer" (Module Number 5058) is a men's timepiece available in a number of different colors, here I have the black version. The case is a polished stainless steel with a compact profile and a sporty look and flush crystal, which is a standard mineral glass, and a brushed stainless steel band. The dial has an equally aggressive aesthetic with a sunburst finish, which should stand out in the other color variants. The hour and minute hands have a half-skeletal look whereas the second hand resembles a hunting arrow with a red accent. There is a day-of-month indicator to the right which covers the full 31 days. Notches and a groove surrounds the number-marked bezel, though it isn't actually a ratcheting bezel. While this watch is sporty, the decision to brush the lugs opposite to the rest of the case is an oddball decision but certainly not a big deal in the slightest. The stock band utilizes a foldover clasp design with L-shaped link pins which can be removed to adjust for size. I will opine on this later on in the review. [Durability and Reliability] The MTP-VD01D-1BV Enticer being made of stainless steel and mineral glass should give you a good idea of how the durability should present itself, others have claimed that this watch holds up over time and looks clean after constant use. Mine has blemishes underneath the lugs which might be due to the stock bands fasteners, or factory worker roughness. I don't think the blemishes should affect the long term viability of the Enticer but it's also not uncommon, so something else that isn't a huge deal for this price range. Even without the band, there's a present weight in the case itself that instills confidence that it can survive a drop without looking gnarly in the end. The crown has a smooth glide with no free play or other cheesiness. Despite my objections with the band, it felt ridged enough with no perceptible cheapness. When exchanging the band for a third party, rubber alternative I found the factory spring bars had a slight bend, which may or may not be isolated to my mine. Water resistance is rather basic but should hold up to splashes and a shower, I probably wouldn't advise swimming with this particular watch. [Ease of Use] Admittedly I haven't touched a proper analog timepiece in ages so getting used to setting this up was a little tricky for me but I eventually got the hang of it. One quirk is the click for the hour/minute/second hands and the day-of-month settings are incredibly close together, otherwise it's a set it and forget it module. The hands are tipped with luminescent material and that's about all that's visible in the dark, honestly the "lume" effect is just around for aesthetics and doesn't make for a very usable after dark timepiece. [Fit and Feel] The MTP-VD01D-1BV Enticer in its original band feels more substantial on the wrist compared to the third party, custom band I purchased from WOCCI. However, that's about as useful of an opinion I have about it, as I wasn't proud of how I handled unlinking the band to fit to my size and adjusting the fold-over clasp. Once I adjusted the clasp, I found the clasp had way too much overdraft and felt like it could get caught on something with how much of the clasp flapped outwards. I won't opine one the third party band since this isn't a double product review. [Authenticity and Value] Band aside, it's kind of wild to have mineral glass, a stainless steel case WITH a stainless steel band for just forty dollars (or around that). Next time I get a watch with this kind of band, it will have to come with the proper tools for me to take care of the links. The module keeps good time and day-of-month, without looking or feeling cheap doing so. I can only hope it lasts as long as it feels it does, but I'm confident it will applying basic care and consideration. If you're worried that you may have encountered a fake Enticer (if such exists), take a look at the back plate and pay attention to the engraved text. Counterfeits usually have rough engravings or typos, if the latter isn't already prevalent on the dial or bezel.

This watch is elegant and gives a premium look. The price is worth and you can register for a premium Casio service at less cost once you get this watch, the stainless steel gets scratch marks easily needs to be maintained with care. It goes well with formals and the size is not very big it is comfortable.
