I was nervous after reading the reviews but was keen to buy an XbotGo ASAP and the main site appears to be taking a while for UK delivery. Ordered and delivered in a perfect sealed condition within 24 hours 👍🏼

Product is hit and miss. Software updates are constant, sometimes it improves the tracking other times it makes the unit worse. Product also overheats

This XbotGo Chameleon AI Powered Sports Action Camera is an advanced piece of kit that you need to pair with a smartphone. It is important to understand that although called a camera, it does not actually shoot any video. It gets paired with a smartphone that you mount onto the XbotGo gimbal, which tracks where the phone should recording. The onboard camera of the gimbal tracks the action with help from the AI software built in it and supported by the XbotGo app. The build construction of the gimbal is very good indeed. It is clear no expense has been spared on this, which combined with the advanced technology is reflected in the cost of the product. I'm very tech savvy and have decent photography and video experience so I was more than comfortable with the setup of this. I can see that it may be a daunting piece of kit for others but the setup guides you through it well. It is a product that you do need to test and experiment with the settings though but the results are well worth it. The tracking function of the gimbal works very well when tripod mounted and given a good view of the area covered. I have used it to track a full sized football pitch from a position on a gantry, which absolutely helped. It would not be ideal to place it at pitch level as there would be too many distractions running across the field of view. The recommendation is to have it at height, using an extendable tripod if required. Ultimately the quality of the video is only as good as the recording device used, i.e. the smartphone, but the tracking capabilities of the XbotGo are quite incredible. Given that it is very much software and firmware driven, I fully expect continual improvements as updates are released. A superb piece of kit that although is a significant investment, it will produce results.

Overall, this is more than just a camera with built-in AI tracking, it is your photographer assistant or a camera man who is able to learn and evolve in order to help you to capture the best moments.

I tested this XbotGo Chameleon briefly while watching my nephews play 5 a side indoor football, and it performed exceptionally well. The AI-powered tracking system locked onto the game with ease. It smoothly followed the action, keeping both the team and individual players( It's simple to 'lock on' to individual players for tracking ) in focus. The 360° rotation and 120° field of view ensured no part of the game was missed, even during fast-paced plays. The 4K video output was crisp and clear, capturing plenty of detail and the sports gimbal was flawless throughout. Setting up the camera was straightforward, and its intuitive tracking system meant I didn’t need to constantly adjust it manually. It was perfect for hands-free game recording, allowing me to enjoy the match while the camera did the work. The live streaming feature is a great addition, though I didn’t use it during this session. I can see it being perfect for sharing games with family and friends who can’t attend in person. This camera is an impressive piece of tech for sports enthusiasts or anyone wanting to capture dynamic action with minimal effort. It tracked my nephews football game with ease and produced very high video quality. Highly recommended for parents, coaches, or sports fans. As with any new tech give yourself time to familiarise yourself with it so you get the most out of it. Youtube tutorials and reviews are quite often my go to staring point with tech I've not used before!

WAs very excited, bought the stand and the umbrella so spent a lot of money on this... Useless. Image quality is good but even at highest speed of tracking it doesn't keep up with football at all. Regularly misses the action. Even if you calibrate it and put the markers of where the pitch is, it ends up tracking someone standing at the side of the pitch. Don't even get me started on the app randomly needing updates and you not being able to use it until you've done the update. Twice now I haven't been able to film any game because I've turned up, set everything up and then opened the app, only to have it say it needs an update and if you're in a bad signal area, good luck. All in all, very disappointed. Build quality is good and it looks the part but it's just terrible at keeping up with the action.

Cuando compré la XbotGo Chameleon no sabía muy bien qué esperar, al recibirla y abrirla ya vi que tenía una presentación y calidad muy cuidada, tanto la cámara como los accesorios, muy bien terminados y de una calidad muy buena, y todo muy bien protegido. Por ponerle un pero, las instrucciones no están en español, aunque con los vídeos y la aplicación no es difícil de manejar. Desde el primer día me sorprendió lo fácil que es usarla, no he usado este tipo de accesorios nunca, yo solo quería grabar partidos sin tener que estar sosteniendo el móvil todo el tiempo, perdiéndome el partido estando allí por estar pendiente de grabarlo todo, y la verdad es que esta cámara me resolvió ese problema, puedo disfrutar del partido y luego poder ver de nuevo los momentos más importantes, para que ellos mismos puedan ver los fallos y aciertos que han tenido. La primera vez que la encendí, la conecté a la app y fue inmediato que mi smartphone lo reconoció, al igual que el mando. Una cosa que me paso pero no sé si es por mi smartphone es que tuve que actualizar la versión de una en una hasta que llegó a la más actual, no sé si es lo normal o solo me ha pasado a mí, aviso por si acaso, cuando llega a la última versión no vuelve a pedir la actualización. Lo que más me llamó la atención es cómo sigue la acción sin que yo tenga que hacer nada, la cámara detecta automáticamente a los jugadores y se mueve para mantenerlos dentro de la toma, puedes elegir el deporte, e incluso, en fútbol, que es el que probado, las dimensiones aproximadas del campo, para que el seguimiento del partido sea el mejor. La verdad, es bastante impresionante. No tengo buenas tomas porque el trípode que tengo es muy básico, ahora buscaré uno acorde, con buena estabilidad, pero aún así me ha sorprendido. El modo FollowMe se ha convertido en mi favorito. Me encanta porque puedo seleccionar a un jugador específico y la cámara lo sigue durante todo el encuentro, también puedes además de manejarla manualmente con el mando grabar y parar con gestos frente a la cámara. La calidad del video es realmente buena. Los 4K a 60 FPS hacen que todo se vea muy nítido y suave. El ángulo amplio de 120° también ayuda a captar más campo sin necesidad de mover la cámara. La aplicación me pareció muy práctica. No necesitas saber nada de edición porque la propia IA te crea clips automáticos con los momentos más destacados. Si quieres editar por tu cuenta, también puedes hacerlo sin complicaciones. Todo está organizado de forma clara y eso se agradece cuando grabas mucho contenido. El almacenamiento en la nube también me pareció un extra. Tener mis grabaciones guardadas ahí me permite verlas desde cualquier dispositivo y no depender solo del móvil. Además, los marcadores automáticos le dan un toque más profesional a los videos, especialmente cuando quiero compartirlos. La batería aguanta muy bien, podemos grabar partidos completos sin preocuparme por quedarme a medias. Y con el control remoto, empezar y detener la grabación es tan sencillo como un clic, al igual que marcar puntos importantes. En general, estoy muy contento con esta cámara. Me permite grabar partidos con calidad profesional sin necesidad de ser experto. Si lo que buscas es capturar deportes de equipo sin complicarte, la XbotGo Chameleon hace exactamente eso y lo hace muy bien.

Appena provato la prima volta non seguiva bene l'azione, anzi a volte sembrava andare dove gli pareva. Dopo degli aggiornamenti (da applicazione) adesso posso dirmi soddisfatto.
