ARCCAPTAIN TIG 205 Pro Welder, 5 In 1 Welding Machine, 120/240V

I use this to well stainless steel like a Meg with a TRI mix and it worked great.

Only used as a stick welder so far...but it really is impressive. 110does a hood job on thinner material but the 220 is pretty impressive for the size of the machine.

I purchased 3 different low cost DC TIG welders, and while they all have essentially the same features and power, this one actually performed to the specification, while the others fell short of their advertised specs. It's got the power and technology/features to do almost all the tig welding a beginner wants to do. The only missing function - for me - is AC tig for aluminum, but that's not exactly a beginner task either, so I'm not taking any stars off for it. It's compact and lightweight, though combined with a bottle of gas the weight and size of this machine isn't an issue. The functionality built into it using the app is comprehensive. Read the manual and you may find features that only high end machines usually have simply due to the complexity of the control panel - this one has them, but the touchscreen is on your phone rather than on the welder. I added the pedal, and now it's the primary tig welder in the shop.

This welder isnt bad but it does have it's quirks. When welding with stick it seems amperage might be off from the actual readout. Possibly lower amps then what the machine shows. I bought a arccaptain foot pedal for it and tried to get it to work with this machine bit had nothing but issues at first. I finally was able to get it to working order but took a great deal of troubleshooting. Welding with 120v is a trial in itself and definitely frustrating. For the money, I think there might be better options out there.

This is a very nice mig/tig welder. My nephew is learning how to weld and my husband wanted to start him on something that would be easy and also to help him learn the basics. It is working great. They have welded aluminum and steel. This machine has been working great with anything that they put in front of it. It has great power and it is easy to adjust. They are very pleased with this machine. I am glad that we found it and that they are getting great use out of it and my nephew is learning a new trade.

Works great, for the price. Does everything I want it to do in my sculpturing projects. Easy to adjust Amperage and different modes.

Does everything expected of a machine in this price range. The dual power input (110/220) is very useful and works great. One slight drawback that it does not have HF (High Frequency) start nor does it have pulse. Otherwise, great overall. Wait to but when it goes on sale.
