Well.made for the price
Wife in bad health. Buzzers don't tell problem. Phone takes too long to dial. This is instantaneous communication. Surprised at how well made. Normally for that price its a fragile piece of plastic. This will last.

Good product
These worked great while relocating interstate. I drove the moving truck my wife drove the car and we were able to communicate effectively using these walkie talkies. Charge held enough power to last the day

Decent Radios for the Money - I am pleased
This is a decent radio for the money. You are talking FRS here. There will be natural limitations and blockings because the radio is UHF. It is also a low-watt radio (not much power), by federal regulation. It is a fun radio for proximity, and inexpensive enough that if it gets broken, ends up in the water, or falls 40 feet, it really doesn't matter much. He can always purchase another set. It is not a miracle radio, and don't expect to get what is advertised unless you're going on all flat terrain or hill to hill, top to hill top. Buildings will block your signal. Terrain can block your signal. Trees can absorb some of your signal. As for privacy, what they mean by privacy is non-interruption. Anyone on that frequency will be able to hear you. What the privacy function does is stop people from interfering with your conversation. Unless they can find the right codes. I think you are getting good value for the price. I think the problem is when people have too high an expectation for this type of radio.

Maxtalker Walkie Talkie Review
Max Talker Walkie Talkie Review: Solid Communication with Added Weather Security (Almost Perfect) The Max Talker walkie talkie aims to be a reliable communication tool for various situations, boasting 22 FRS channels and a crucial NOAA weather radio feature. After putting a pair through their paces, I found them to be a solid performer with a lot to offer, though a couple of minor drawbacks prevent a perfect score. The Pros: * Clear and Reliable Communication: The primary function of a walkie talkie is communication, and the Max Talker generally delivers. I found that it comfortably met my needs, providing clear communication within a 1-mile radius in my neighborhood. * Impressive Range in Open Fields: In open field tests, the Max Talker performed admirably, easily reaching distances up to 5 miles with clear audio. * Essential NOAA Weather Radio: This is a standout feature and a significant selling point. Being able to tune into local NOAA weather broadcasts is invaluable for hikers, campers, and anyone concerned about staying informed during potential emergencies. The alerts are also a welcome addition. * Easy to Use Interface: The buttons are clearly labeled, and the menu system is relatively intuitive to navigate, even for first-time walkie talkie users. Switching between channels and accessing the weather radio is straightforward. * Decent Battery Life: The battery life on the Max Talker was respectable, lasting for a good portion of a day with intermittent use. This is crucial for longer outings where recharging might not be readily available. * 22 FRS Channels: Having the full range of 22 FRS channels provides ample options for finding a clear channel and avoiding interference from other users. * Durable Build Quality: The walkie talkies feel reasonably robust and capable of withstanding some bumps and scrapes that are common during outdoor activities. The Cons: * Speaker Volume Could Be Louder: In noisy environments, such as near a busy road or a windy campsite, the speaker volume could be a bit louder to ensure clear audibility without having to hold the device directly to your ear. * Basic Design and Features: While functional, the overall design and additional features are fairly basic. Don't expect advanced functionalities like GPS tracking or more sophisticated privacy codes beyond the standard CTCSS/DCS. * Belt Clip Could Be More Secure: The included belt clip does its job, but it feels a little flimsy and could potentially detach if snagged on something. Overall: The Max Talker walkie talkie with NOAA weather radio and 22 FRS channels is a dependable communication device that offers a valuable layer of safety with its integrated weather alerts. It's easy to use, boasts decent battery life, and provides clear communication within the expected range for both neighborhood use and open field scenarios. While the speaker volume could be improved and the design is basic, the inclusion of the NOAA weather radio and the reliable FRS communication make it a solid choice for recreational use, neighborhood communication, and basic emergency preparedness. It's a strong contender in its category and earns a respectable 4 out of 5 stars.

Great set
I wish I would have gotten 2 sets to begin with on prime day lol. I got one to try them first. My twins are awful about not looking at their phones, so I got these. They're awesome. Audio is extremely clear, even when I walk onto our 6 acre property. I like these so much after using them for 10 minutes, I bought another set. Easier to get ahold of my family when we're spread out. You can change ring tones, turn the beep off, privacy codes too. Highly recommend.

Great value for the money
Got. These for the grandparents on the farm. Grandparents won't wear a life alert but he carries a walkie talking. Great distance and clarity

Solid walkies for a good price
These walkie talkies are pretty solid for the price, Literally and figuratively lol. We took these on a cruise and while inside there was a lot of interference and static, outside they work really well. I tested them outside and could hear the other person from two blocks away, and you could hear them loud and clear. Charging was fairly quick, about 3 hours and the battery lasted about 3 days of full use. They also survived a massive downpour while in St. Croix. Theyโre lightweight and have a clip which was convenient to put in belt loops or fanny packs. I will also note that the volume level was really good, it even has a lil alarm for if it gets lost, you can use another walkie to call it. The variety of channels is nice, and having sub channels was also a plus since there were times where other people would enter our channel, so keep that in mind. So, if youโre thinking of using it for a cruise, just know that being inside there will be a lot of static, hence the 4 stars. Other than that they are really good for camping, hikes or just casual use.

Best value for our money!
Don't be fooled by the low price, these work just as good a my more expensive model that is 4 times the price. They are lighter and more compact, fits perfectly in our hand. The sound quality is better than expected, and very clear audio. The battery life is great too, I leave them on 24/7 and so far about a weeks worth and still no sign of battery drain. The belt clip is of excellent quality so don't worry about losing it. I'm using them with my wife while she recovers from surgery in bed. I think we will continue to use them when we get back to work, she's in front office and I'm in the warehouse, now we can talk business anytime on the spot.
