DURATECH 1/2" Drive 24-Inch Heavy Duty Breaker Bar with 240° Flex Head

I was skeptical this breaker bar would make removing stuck bolts 'easy'. I knew it would work, eventually, but I thought there would still be some sweat involved, maybe some @#&$!! LOL I'm not tall, I'm in OK shape, I can open most jars. I just bought a mower and wanted to change blades which involves nuts and bolts. I thought a normal ratchet would work, despite what some reviewers said. Nope, breaker bar required. This worked so easily, with very little effort. Yay! Give this and a 1/2 drive socket set to graduates, as wedding gifts, or for house warming gifts. Every home should have this. Makes repairs, upgrades, and DIY so much less stressful and will save you money in the long run. This is well made and sturdy. You need 1/2 inch drive sockets to use it. The drive is the part that clicks in to the socket so you have a handle, it has only 4 sides, not the size of the nut or bolt you are working on, that's the other side of the socket and has a star pattern. Also, there's no button on the breaker bar for quick release of the socket. You just pull it straight up and off. Great tool!

I don't think there are any things I could say is wrong about it, testing with my sockets and one problem I usually have is the lock ball-bearing not holding sockets. But with this product that is not the case it holds nicely not to mention how strong and durable it is I'm amazed on how low the price was.

Beast of a tool! I tried using my DeWalt wrench with a rubber mallet and even a hammer to get off a lawn mower blade that would not budge. I was so frustrated. I even looked into buying an impact wrench, but that would cost me a couple hundred dollars to get the torque I needed to crack this tough nut. So, instead I bought this breaker bar and it worked like magic! This is a must have for the toughest jobs!

This breaker bar exceeded my expectations. It has a nice heavy weight to it and feels great in your hand, giving you confidence that it's built to last. The quality is outstanding and definitely above par. My only wish is that it had a ratcheting feature, which would make it nearly perfect. Other than that, it's an easy 5-star product and I highly recommend it.

Appears well-built and designed, the real test comes when you need to bust loose a lugnut that some other lugnut tightened with a pneumatic wrench.

So, it's a nice tool and does the job, but to be clear, it is 23.5" long with the head turned out straight as shown in their picture where they claim it's 24" long in their measurement. That same picture talks about "leverage". You're not going to get any leverage with the head turned straight out like that. The bar is just shy of 22" from the handle end to the pivot pin in the head, which is where you'll get leverage when the head is turned 90 degrees. Close enough, not really a big deal, but I am just sick and tired of all the marketing claims making everything look bigger and sound better than it really is. This is false advertising in my book. Sign me the Crotchety Old Man...

I was working on the engine to my wife’s car. I needed a breaker bar that tilted beyond 180 degrees. This did exactly that and delivered easily. The grip felt comfortable and the arm length made it easier to break torque. Also not too expensive.

Perfect for those DYI made of high quality steel easy for breaking those tuff bolts and screws.

I was having a hard time with my trailer bearing bolt, but this tool made it come off effortlessly.

The ability to tilt the head is a life-saver if you're trying to reach behind a break disc. Much needed.
