Silky, shiny hair without feeling greasy
I’ve been using the Mise En Scène Perfect Serum Original for a few days now, and I’m honestly impressed. My hair tends to get frizzy and dry, especially after heat styling, and this serum made a noticeable difference right away. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving that heavy, oily feeling. It smooths frizz, adds a beautiful shine, and makes my hair feel super soft and manageable. I also love the fruity floral scent—it’s fresh but not overpowering. I’ve used it both on damp hair before blow-drying and on dry hair to finish my look, and it works great both ways. It definitely helps protect against heat and keeps my hair looking healthier overall. The only small downside is that if you use too much, it can weigh down fine hair—so a little goes a long way. Overall, I’d highly recommend it if you’re dealing with dryness, frizz, or dullness and want something affordable that actually delivers results!

Miracle product that made my frizz go away and my hair looked fresh
Pros: I picked up both the Mise En Scene Perfect Serum Original and the Mise En Scene Perfect Serum Watery during Prime Day after having them on my wishlist for a while, and together they have completely changed my hair care routine. My hair is naturally wavy and fine, and I dabble in the curly girl method, but it can be an investment and some days I just do not want the feeling of gel in my hair. When I used to skip it and let my hair air dry naturally or style it straight, it always looked a bit frizzy and dull. Before switching over, my regimen was Orbis hair milk serum, which made my hair feel softer, paired with BioSilk hair oil, which smelled amazing, so I wanted to see how the Mise En Scene lineup would compare. Now my routine is to wash my hair regularly, comb it through while damp after the shower, and apply a coin size amount of the Original Perfect Serum, working it through and focusing mostly on my ends before letting it air dry. The next day my hair looks noticeably less frizzy, silkier, and more vibrant. Once my hair is fully air dried, I follow up with the Watery version, taking a coin size amount and applying it just to my ends to smooth out any remaining frizz near the tips. Since my hair is fine and thin, the lightweight Watery formula is perfect for this second step because it does not weigh my hair down any further the way a heavier oil might. I also have to mention the scent difference, the citrus fragrance on the Watery serum is so much nicer than the original, and I honestly wish the Original had that same scent. Using both together has become such an easy, minimal effort way to manage my frizz, whether I am embracing my natural waves or straightening my hair on days I am not feeling the curly girl method. The Mise En Scene Perfect Serum duo has genuinely earned a permanent place in my hair care regimen. Cons: The only adjustment has been remembering to use each product at the right step, the Original on damp hair after the shower and again lightly on dry hair, and the Watery version only once my hair is completely air dried, since mixing up the order does not give the same results. It also took a little trial and error to find the right amount of each, since using too much of the Original left my ends feeling slightly weighed down, while I learned to be more generous with the Watery serum since it absorbs so quickly. Once I got the layering and amounts figured out, though, both Mise En Scene serums have been consistent every time I use them.

Great serum, I highly recommend!
I’ve been on a Korean skin care kick, loving what they produce as my skin always looks radiant and responds well to it. I thought why not search hair care, and this Mise En Scene Perfect Serum Original came up, among other things. I am not new to serums and hair oils, as I have long hair down to my waist. It is fine and very straight, and thanks to menopause has become very dry. I do not currently bleach my hair(I did 4-5 years ago) but I do color it, and try to keep it trimmed with minimal heat styling to help with hair health. I have tried many hair serums, oils, sprays and leave ins from high end brands to drug store brands. Some of course work better than others, but onto what you really want to know-how did the Perfect Serum perform? I was actually really blown away by it! When I first received it, it was late in the day, and I had already washed my hair that day. It did say on the instructions that a small amount could be used after drying in small amounts for smoothing, and I was pleasantly surprised at how light the serum was. The smell is floral, very pretty and not overwhelming. It made my hair very soft, and smoothed my split ends nicely. The next day, after washing my hair I used a quarter size amount through towel dried hair and used it all throughout. (I didn’t have any issues with greasiness!) Once I had blow dried my hair, I couldn’t believe how incredibly soft and manageable my hair was. Usually I get tangles when I blow dry, not with this! No frizz, no split ends, just super soft, super healthy looking hair. I even use the rest and rub my hands together, and my hands are as soft as silk. I can’t recommend this enough. I’ve bought many hair products on here, and this is the first I’ve written a review on. Great value for a great product. I love this serum<3
