Cotopaxi Unisex Allpa 42L Travel Pack Smoke/Cinder 42L

I'm loving it. It's definately large, but works as a carry-on backpack. I've taken it on several trips and it's doing great!

Have taken this pack on overseas vacation adventures and can fit 10 days of clothing and other necessities into this great bag. Also works well for work travel as it has a spot for my laptop and other “remote office” essentials. While it does meet carry on specs, on small regional jets it typically does not fit in the overhead and requires gate-checking. Fits nicely in the overhead bin of all larger planes, even when fully packed. I appreciate having a sturdy piece of backpack luggage when in bigger cities as I am not a fan of rolling luggage through the street. And, the included rain cover works well!

I've had this bag for a year now and feel compelled to write a review. I absolutely love the thing. It's been a strange year and this bag has spend more time packed than unpacked, it's crossed the Atlantic 6 times and has been stuffed in many different sizes of overhead bins always without a problem. Zippers and straps are all super sturdy, apart from a few scuffs on the rubberized exterior, it's just like the day I got it. The carry-on capability was a big sell for me and it has delivered. It is really the perfect size, I regularly keep about 9 t-shirts, boxer shorts, socks, an extra pair of pants, a jacket, rather large toiletries bag, laptop, travel monitor, and various electronic dongles. It holds everything I need for months long trips, and I get to just walk out of the airport without waiting to collect baggage, killer! In terms of comfort, I wouldn't hike the PCT with it, but I have walked for hours with it without undue pain. It tends to ride a bit low and lacking a proper frame the hip belt doesn't take the weight as well as a proper backpacking pack, but if I ever get a bit annoyed with it I just remember how damn convenient the thing is and trudge on. The traditional suitcase opening is unbeatable, I hate living inside with a backpacking pack. Having to dig around from the top every time you need a shirt gets super old. This thing opens up and everything is available in one (ish) layer. I highly recommend this bag, I know I'll be only using it for the foreseeable future.

This bag gets five stars from me with one caveat. If you are wearing for long periods of time, it does tend to make you sweat - especially in the lower back. That aside, it is my favorite bag and every bit worth the price. I'm 6'2 and fairly average build. I can imagine this would be awkward for someone under 5'10, but I've seen videos of people who were smaller. I guess it's a matter of preference. I've used this on two work trips and have packed up to 5 days of clothes, an extra pair of shoes, a toiletry bag, 2 laptops and an iPad Pro and have worn this for up to 3 hours at a time in airports. I don't recommend carrying as much tech as I do, and I'll probably streamline this on my next trip. Maybe that's why my back sweats. :) I get a lot of compliments on this bag. I purchased the all black version and it has a luxury look to it with the logo being a sheen blend into the black of the bag. I've purchased a number of bags and this is by far the best one I've purchased to date. Definitely get the packing cubes with dirty clothes compartment. I have the peak design cubes. Super easy and convenient.

My Go To for all kinds of travel

This is a great pack, I’ve had it out on a 10 day trip with multiple pairs of pants, shorts and shoes in it as well as shirts, socks and underwear for all 10 days. Stupid expensive but it is well constructed and should last a long time. My one gripe is the laptop sleeve is too narrow for my surface laptop. It’s better suited for an iPad, I can still put my laptop in the zippered compartment next to the sleeve though so it works.

Best purchase ever! First off, it looks super cool in the all black. But more importantly, it has so much packing space. I bought this for a trip to Europe that included a wedding (and thus, wedding clothes and shoes) and was not hurting at all for space even when I added all my clothes, toiletries, and two more pairs of shoes. The dividers and pockets are so handy, with the top pocket being super accessible, and the laptop sleeve also being easy to access when going through airport security. Amazing bag!

Super organized inside pockets, almost like a suitcase. 42L can be used for a whole week trip. Large, on airplane won’t fit under most seats.

All lies and false advertising. The bag is great but the seller is advertising the bag as 35L
