A: Why are you asking this? It says right on the package that the product is from France and packaged in California.

**Q: Does it taste or smell like fish?**
A: It smells a bit. It also has a slight fish taste

**Q: Is there any information about mercury levels and the source of this product?**
A: I emailed the company and asked this but they did not reply to the question. They did reply to my question about what types of fish were harvested.

A: There are a few different types of collagen, each providing different benefits, and they are derived from four main sources – cows (bovine), pigs (porcine), chicken and fish (marine).

Many collagen powders are derived from bovine, porcine and chicken as it is cheaper to manufacture and more readily available. However, the latest research is showing that the best type of collagen to consume is the collagen derived from fish. Marine collagen provides Type I and Type III collagen which is easier for the body to absorb.
