The stairs in my house are made of wood and very slippery. I ordered these stair treads to have some traction and reduce the likelihood of falling down the stairs. These were just what I was hoping for. I ordered the brown and really like the design. The order comes with a roll of adhesive tape. There is enough tape to put two long lines of tape per tread. I turned the treads over and put the first line of tape near the top edge, running the length of the tread. I put the second line near the bottom edge, again running the length of the tread. Then I removed to layer of film that prevents the tape from sticking while applying to them to the treads and put a tread on each step. The treads work perfectly. I feel so much more comfortable having the traction on each step. My feet do not slide, even while wearing socks. The treads stick very well to the steps and do not move at all. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered these treads because I liked the pattern and the color is a perfect match. I needed a custom order--more than then 13 included in the set--and the seller worked with me to get that done, which was a huge help (instead of having to buy two whole sets). I am also happy with the treads themselves. My only comment for future buyers is to be aware that the treads have two different textures in the pattern; the "raised" areas are soft while the darker "low" areas are stiff, like velcro. The treads still work great but the stiffness does take a little getting-used-to. But I bought these for my dogs and they have no complaints. Altogether these are a good product with great service. Worth the money.

These treads we exactly what we had hoped. The color was a bit darker than they appeared in the picture but that’s to be expected with digital photos. Sadly, we had to return these though. We not only tried the included adhesive, but also several from various home improvement stores, and we could not find anything that would stick to the back of the carpet. I’m sure we could have stapled or glued these down but due to the heavy traffic on our stairs, we anticipate having to replace eventually and didn’t want to have a very difficult removal. So disappointed that we couldn’t make these work.

Are use them so my older dog does not slip down the text steps. When they get wet with the rain they still tend to stay in place. I did not use the tape that comes with the packaging to keep the steps in place, however, I just placed the rubber backed tread on my wooden deck step and although it may shift a little bit and pretty much stays in place.It dries up quickly in the sun. If you want to just remove them when guests come or you need to clean the steps it’s very easy to just pick them up and put them back. I really like this and would buy it again. The gray color is very nice and the design on it is very nice so when you put it on your steps it doesn’t look industrial. The design is nice.

Update: 4 months later and I have to severely downgrade my review. The dog has gone back to be uncomfortable with steps as the backing and the tape don't hold together long and now the whole thing just slides all round the step. They also started fuzzing... The edges look all fuzzy and they generally look pretty awful. They get a lot of use between two kids, two adults, a cat and one dog... And another dog who will occasionally attempt the steps (no matter what she slips, but the unstable rugs don't make her feel any more confident) I'm pulling them all off at this point because they just can't stay in place with all the traffic and look horrible. *** Original: My only complaint about them is they look lighter in the photos than they do in person, but that isn't even enough of an issue to remove a star. We got them mainly to give our Bassett Hound a better grip on our wood stairs. She's tumbled down a number of times recently and will stand on the landing whining instead of coming down until one of us comes and stands in front of her so she has someone soft to land on. The carpet, even without tape, stayed very well, they did slide back a bit when the kids ran up and down the steps, so I had to use the tape because the dog tends to get her paws on the edges of the steps, so I needed them to stay on the edge. One strip of tape has kept them in place. Overall I am pleased. The dog is happier however now the problem is she's too long and doesn't want to shrink to half her size as I instructed (she's big for a Bassett, so she's got a lot of back length, for 5 years she had no problems, but she got older and less confident). Something the carpet can't help with, but she does feel more confident.

This Elogio Carpet Stair Treads is a very nice product, it looks much better than it does in the pictures. Good quality, nice so thick, a great company. I got this stair tread today and I was super excited to install it right away. It took me about 15 minutes to install all treads. The installation process is very easy since it comes with doubled side adhesive tape, peel on stick it down. I highly recommend for those who have pets, especially if they struggle on the slippery wooden floor. Our dog slipped and fell so many time when he tried to run fast. It does its job, our dog moves up and down the stairs with real ease now. He loves it, and our new problem now is he constantly goes up and down stairs since we added this tread rug. Even for myself, I don't feel any more slippery while walking on the stair with my socks on.

These stair treads are exactly what I was looking for! We have a grand-Pup who loved our nasty, dingy carpeted stairs. In fact, he didn't take too well to our new wood stairs. He was afraid and had a hard time getting a grip on the steps. Even after we put the treads on he wasn't too sure about it. We've had it on there for a couple weeks now and he's gotten use to them, laying on the stair (and the tread) when the sun hits the stairs thru the skylight. (I wish I got a pic of him enjoying it but I didn't!) They are on the thinner side which is great because it doesn't cause any instability when you step on each stair. Although they're thin, they still feel like good quality. They come folded in half but once laid flat they flatten out pretty quickly. We haven't adhered them to the stairs yet - the set comes with a roll of the adhesive - but we will be soon. We held off waiting to be sure our grand pup was ok with them. I had a need to reach out to the company thru Amazon and they responded right away. Great customer service! I highly recommend these stair treads and this company! Bought these to keep my older dog from slipping while going up the hardwood stairs. They were great. She now runs up with confidence. I wouldn’t recommend them for much else though.

Work fine when they stay dry I needed these for outside on the steps. Unfortunately when wet are very dangerous. I stepped on the first one and next second I was one the bottom step. A few bruises but no breaks.

The carpet is very rough and hurts my feet if I step on it barefoot. Also the Velcro is sewed on it and it's not really customisable.
