Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Inspration Maiden Costume

I bought this '1791's lady Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Inspration Maiden Costume' (Blue, X-Small) for my daughter for Halloween. When I first took it out of the package, I was a little discouraged because it seemed huge and there was so much material, but it turned out to be absolutely stunning. Even though I got the smallest size available, it was still too big for my petite and slim 14yo daughter (4'11" and under 90 lbs). She was able to put it right on without even unzipping it on the side, but we love it so much that we are determined to make it work! I tightened the laces in the back until they couldn't be tightened any tighter, had her wear my old chunky, high-heeled lace-up boots for the extra height, and had her put on a petticoat underneath (not included) to prevent the dress from dragging on the floor. With just a little bit more work, I think it will be perfect. It really needs a crinoline or 6-hoop/full-length petticoat underneath to make it more "pouffy" (which we just ordered). In the picture, she is wearing a 3-hoop petticoat, which is not long enough because you can tell where it ends by the way the dress drapes over it. Also, the choker is too loose for her neck, so I plan on cutting off the excess length at the back of the neck and adding a velcro closure to replace the ribbon. I might even remove the ruffle from the choker for a more delicate look. All the colors are pretty but glad we went with the Blue. The Blue is vibrant yet gothy and does not give off a witchy or vampirey or even Christmasy vibe like the other colors might. Overall, it really is excellent quality for the price and not itchy like other costumes tend to be. I will be returning two other similar costumes since, when she put this one on, we just knew this one was the keeper.

The dress is great. There’s a zipper on the side, and a ribbon to tie the back so it’s like a corset look. I’m 195 lb and 5’1”, and the measurements put me in a 2XL, but because people said to size down I went with an XL and it fit great. I’m short so it’s a bit long, but looks great with my tulle petticoat. Wore it for an Edgar Allan Poe event. The necklace choker has too heavy of a ruff which folded down on me, and did not work. It might be because my neck is short. I wore my own necklace instead.

Color was spot on, very nice. Back is adjustable I'm 4ft"9in and bust is a 30in fit grate. The choker is made for thicker-neked people but very nice fabric soo soft.

Super fun for a costume event. Costume quality so not high end, but looks nice. Like that adjustable so fits many body sizes.

Good quality. Extremely long but easy to cut and alter length. There was no lace up back which was very disappointing.

This dress is absolutely perfect. I bought an XL. I’m 5’’8, 196 lbs, and my measurements are 43 bust 33 waist and 44 hips. Dress length is perfect for me. I’m wearing a black petticoat underneath to give it some volume. That neckband seemed like a bit much to me, so I preferred to turn it into a headband that I think looks even better this way and pulls the look together more. Alternatively, I bought a necklace I think looks lovely too.

My dress is gorgeous. This is my second dress. The first dress was beautiful but too small. I had to check the size chart and odored another dress which is the right size and it’s beautiful. One picture is with a petticoat and the other is with a bustle.

This is more of an FYI review than anything. The piece was fine but very poly-costume like material throughout. All one piece vs. layered pieces. This one is really a just depends on what you are looking for piece. I know the description says Costume and that it is-- a costume, not necessarily a costume like period dress. I will say the suggested measurements felt waaaay off. I am typically an XL. Per the measurements I ordered a 3 XL and it was huge on me. You might want to just go with your normal sizing or one size up (but that is based on your own measurements of course).

La tela es muy delgada y basica, la vdd me parece que el producto es caro para el tipo de material del que esta hecho!!!

De acuerdo al precio, es un excelente trabajo, costura y talla, no viene reducido y las terminaciones del vestido excelente. Si lo recomiendo
