The knife is solid, sharp, and beautiful. For $98 out the door, you really can't ask for much better. It has a crowned spine and finger choil, so it feels nicer in the hand, but it might have trouble with a fire steel (IDK, I don't do bushcraft). That fat blade would split kindling nicely, though. It has 'jimping', but really big and smooth. You'll be relying more on the ergonomics of the handle scales to keep this beast in your hand. If you can't afford a TRC Apocolypse, maybe give this one a shot.

This is an awesome knife . Ok now there are others that are selling for cheaper prices by like Eafengrow and Sitivien, using the same type of steel or similar, and that can’t be explained. But having said that , $130 / $140 for a blade this size using the amazing Sleipner steel , it’s one hell of a bargain . I just put it thru a torture test . Well - slight torture test . I try to get at least 50 whacks on a nice piece of hard wood and I didn’t make it . It cut in half at around 30 . This is a beast ! Razor sharp and will make an amazing camp partner . No rolls on the edge . Not a ding Nor a dang . My only complaint would be the G10 scales . I’m just not a fan . I’d much rather canvas Micarta . Still a beautiful knife . 2024 / 2025 has introduced us to some really incredible blades . Can’t wait to see what’s coming in 2026 . How can these companies top this ??? Especially at these prices !! If I have the means , I’d like to change the scales to something better . Be nice if there was an option like what Ka-Bar does with those BK blades . Ya feel me ?? This is a 5 Star knife . I know some ( a few ) gave it only 3 stars for whatever reason . Don’t nitpick!! Don’t complain at this price !! If your grinds are uneven , simply return for another or just request a full refund . It’s not hard . Give this a chance . I won’t steer you wrong . Don’t be surprised when these knives increase in price either … I could definitely see these selling for $250 plus easy . I always buy high end knives ie Benchmade, kershaw and coldsteel but this knife really red well so I gave it a try and order one and I couldn't be happier. It is super well made good thick sold blade. I wear XL gloves and the handle fits my hand perfectly. It came razor sharp, i've always prefer tool steel blade like D2, 52100 and my best knives are CPM 3V but I must say this Sleipner steel blade is in my opinion holds a better edge then the D2 or 52100 and just as good as the CPM 3V. This knife is my new outdoors blade.

The knife itself is pretty awesome: well made, sharp and comfortable in the hand. The woven texture kydex sheath, however, is not as advertised and is absolutely butt ugly. It does not secure the blade well either. Disappointed with that aspect, but I’ll just buy a leather sheath that is not an assault upon the eyes.

I collect high to mid range knives, Busse, Mercworx, Bark River, and this knife is comparable to the knives I just mentioned in terms of quality and Build. That is if the steel is made of Sleipner steel as they claim. So if the Chinese can build this high quality knife and not charge you and arm and a leg, then why can't Americans do it? I'll be looking more into these Chinese made FIx blades and probably buy more. Because for what I spent on a Busse or Mercworx I could've bought 4 of these very good quality knife.

This is LENGRENs best knife in my opinion, large & very capable more like a piece of artwork that can be used in the field. sharp out of the box & and very comfortable handle to hold fits XXL gloved hands. excellent KYDEX sheath retains the knife well with no rattle & rides on hip nicely with its large belt loop. this knife is a quality piece of steel in both stone wash & clear white blades, both versions are just awesome. I cant say enough good things about this knife. The LENGREN CHIEF a great blade that will last you a lifetime of adventures

This was my first Lengren knife. I realize this is a budget knife. But I was expecting a little better from this company. I have seen many pictures and videos with nothing but good things to say about the knife and the company. The grind lines are uneven, unfinished and unacceptable on the one I received. Other than that it is a great looking knife. Feels very good in hand. Nice sheath. And I believe it would make a really good knife. Maybe I just received one that made it past quality control. And it's really just aesthetics. It doesn't really affect the use of the knife. But I would still like everything to be even. Hopefully Lengren will step up on their quality. There are several other Lengren knives that I'm interested in, but there is other options for better prices out there. Edit: I went to install lanyard to find that the handle scales were unfinished or hole punched out at wrong location.

It's worth getting if you like the style.
