Beautiful finish for my next guitar project. I plan on combining this color shift paint over a black undercoat as a base for a Crystal FX guitar body that will look like raven feathers. The shift over black looks great!

I almost passed on this because it wasn't Prime eligible and the shipping cost felt pretty steep on top of an already expensive can of paint. In the end, I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. The paint sprayed evenly and smoothly with a nice consistent pattern. The color shifting effect is impressive, especially in sunlight where the blue, purple, and red tones really stand out and change depending on the viewing angle. It gives a unique custom look that gets noticed. I used it on a small project for my son’s surron frame guards, and the finish came out looking professional with good coverage. As long as you take your time with prep work and apply light coats, the results are excellent. My only complaint is the cost once shipping is added. That said, the quality of the paint and the final appearance helped justify the expense. If you're looking for a true color shift paint with a strong chameleon effect, this one delivers. Just be prepared to pay a little extra for shipping.

It is a good paint. Applies easily with no issues. I wish it was more orange instead of a rose gold color. But it does color shift like it states to green. It also has a really good shine to it after you apply the clear coat.

Color: Aloha Supershift I am not the best spray printer, but I did experience what others complained of - spray nozzle sputters and drips I only gave 4 stars for that reason. Use caution or research how to mitigate that if you’re looking for perfection. Weather may have been a factor since it was raining that day but Rustoleum primer and clear coat went on without any problems. I have another project to do so we’ll see how that one turns out, I had to shoot indoors so light was tough to see the coverage. I only purchased 2 cans for this and wish I’d had 3, I didn’t consider how much paint I’d lose in overspray due to the angles I had to cover. Also, unless you’re in a very well lit area it’s really hard to tell what’s going on until the clear coat is on. The more clear I put on, the richer the colors came out. This was a personal project to be used as a garden trellis so once I encountered the nozzle issues and knew there would be some major flaws anyway, I just shot for the best color coverage I could get and I’m beyond thrilled. I have 2 more projects I plan to use this for and hopefully I can figure out how to get a better quality spray.

It's my fault for not reading the directions because this should only be used on a black surface. It BARELY shows up as a slight shimmer on a silver surface, even after multiple coats. I also tried it on a black background, as directed, and it is still HIGHLY TRANSPARENT.

Beautiful results from this amateur. Base coat of black and four total coats of color two really light coats almost back to back, one medium coat and final as much as I dared without runs. Beautiful results. You definitely get what you pay for with this type of paint. Highly recommend
