I use these for my computer, one on either side of my head. They appear sleek and attractive and just the right size. I consider myself an amateur audiophile in the sense that I am very passionate about sound quality and I have a fairly discerning ear, but I don't have the kind of money to go all out and I'm far from fluent in the jargon. That in mind, here's my succinct take on these studio monitor speakers. They possess excellent quality sound and power for their size, with knobs to shape the tone should you choose. Without any adjustments and connected via auxiliary to PC, they perform beautifully with music (lossless Spotify, no equalizer or volume normalization) and quite well with 2 channel surround sound for gaming. As can be expected of studio monitors, they aren't the "boomiest" speakers out of the box, but they do have nice, clear, tactile bass, impressive for the size and price point. They were very easy to set up with standard auxillary to my PC, but (despite definitely being a tech-savvy person) I struggled to get the Bluetooth connection working. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put them into pairing mode. There's a Bluetooth botton on the back of the main speaker, but pressing or holding it does nothing, nor did pressing or holding the power/volume knob. I will need to track down the manual to see if there's some sort of magic trick to it or if it's faulty. I'll update my review once I have if the Bluetooth function doesn't work, but for now I'm assuming I was just arrogant in immediately tossing the manual aside.

I picked these up on sale, along with the T5s subwoofer, also by Edifier. All together, it was substantially cheaper than the MR2 speakers, which I had been looking at as an alternative. I'm not against a 3-in-1 unit (i.e., the MR2), but I'm a firm believer that a dedicated sub is better than trying to cram a sub into speaker cabinets in this smaller form factor. Between that fact and the substantially better price of the MR3 + T5s combo compared with the MR2 speakers, it was clearly a much better value for the dollar. I set the MR3 speakers up as recommended, running my audio output first into the T5s sub and then taking the output from the T5s to the input of the MR3 speakers. This makes for a super clean install, no need for a DAC or any amps either (since the T5s and MR3 have their own) and sounds far better than what you're going to get from, say, the MR2 speakers by themselves. I'm not by any stretch an audiophile, but I do like crisp, clean sound and enough base to know it's there. These MR3 speakers deliver the high and mid-range that I'm looking for, the clarity I prefer and they work fantastic with the T5s subwoofer to fill out the base. I'm using them in a roughly 10' x 11' room and could not want for better, louder or more accurate sound. This MR3 + T5s combo was purchased as a long-overdue upgrade from my Logitech 2.1 setup (the venerable Z323, which I've had for 15+ years) and I could not be happier with the results. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, and definitely recommend them to anyone looking to up their desktop or workstation audio game, especially if you can pair them with the T5s. They are an exceptional value for the price, they are aesthetically pleasing and well made and paired with a dedicated subwoofer, give you just about everything you need for a small room.

I needed speakers for my new computer. I wasn't looking to spend much - it's just a basic computer. I was hoping to get by with $50 speakers. After much research, I decided these are the best bang for the buck, and put them in my "later list". Within days they were on sale for $100 and I pulled the trigger. Holy crap these things sound good! I have these hardwired to my computer via the headphone jack - cable included. One thing that is cool is they can be connected to my Android via bluetooth simultaneously. Because these speakers are so good. I've started listening to Spotify and YouTube while in my kitchen, 20 feet away. Plenty of volume and good sound. I can connect my phone in seconds if I want, not even walking into my office, or I can go to the computer and hit a few buttons. I didn't realize I was going to be using these speakers as often as I do, and might have considered dropping more money on even better edifiers! The Edifier brand seems to be quality through the whole lineup. I've recommended edifier to a friend who was thinking about adding a sound bar to a TV. I think powered speakers are the way to go! I ended up using these for the TV using the provided AUX cable (plugged them into the headphone jack). We live in an apartment and didn't want something too extreme (so that our neighbors don't get mad). These are powerful and loud enough to fill up the room with great sound with no distortion. These sound better than soundbars that I have tried. My wife said she feels like she's at the movie theater. Once we move to a house, I will probably set them up as computer speakers and add a subwoofer. The lows are good, but you can only expect so much bass from the size of these speakers (perfect for our apartment set up). The size is perfect for a TV set up or desk set up making them very versatile. The bluetooth works well. They seem well built so hopefully they will be durable for years to come. And they look great! Love that they come in white, so they don't get fingerprints. Overall, fantastic sound in a small form factor package.

Really loving these speakers. I've been using for just over a month now. I have them connected to my PC as my main speakers, and the sound is great for what I need. The sound could obviously be better, but for the price point they are better than expected. I also love how easy it is to connect to Bluetooth with my phone to listen to my music if I'm not sitting at my desk. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

They sound lovely to my (untrained and plebian) ear - crisp and clear with a warm and pleasing bass. They drop off at the low end pretty dramatically around 50 Hz or so, and I have paired them with an Edifier T5s to subtly bring the lows down a bit further. Modestly loud, and more than adequate for close up listening at the desk without shaking the home.
