Meadowlark Dog Car Seat Cover, Heavy Duty Hammock, XL Trucks, Black

So to start this XL- Meadowlark Premium Hammock seat cover will work in a 2020 HighLander Limited Platinum’s or large truck’s. I hope this helps many reviews don’t mention the vehicles it being used in which Leeds to return’s because it doesn’t fit. I waited to write the review because the last cover didn’t even last 1 year. Not a problem with this quality unit. The fit is better than expected for a multiple use unit. It can be installed in minutes after the initial adjustment’s. This unit will protect our leather seats and side panels from scratches while keeping them safe. The non slip really works well so they don’t fall while securing them in a safe cocoon. They can see us which is calming to them and there is a zipper in case you need to get to them. The Meadowlark is also waterproof and contains their hair and slobber! So being waterproof makes clean up quick first a vacuum then soap water and a sponge it’s done! We are so happy with this product because it does everything it’s supposed to do. Easy installation keeps the dogs safe clean up is easy and it’s durable while looking very nice! I don’t just hand out 5 stars but this product earned it!

I have an active 68 lb German Shepherd filling up the back seat of my Honda Ridgeline. This seat cover does a great job keeping her contained on the back seat and collecting the slobber and dog hair. The side panel flaps are effective at keeping the doors fairly well protected compared to my last cover (I’m not expecting miracles here). The material is very solid and durable, despite pointy GSD claws leaping in and out. I’ve had it for two weeks with no appreciable damage, so I know I’m good to go. It is very easy to install and vacuums very nicely. It’s not meant to act as a cage, but the fabric attached to the front seats acts as a sufficient barrier to a dog who has been trained to stay out of the front (except her head of course, which always seems to be delivering kisses at the most in opportune moments). Also, the straps will certainly not deter a chewer, but my girl is an adult and past such things. Great product! Worth the extra $$$. A year later, and this is holding up just fine. Yay!

I have a Borador(lab/border collie mix). She loves to be outside, to dig holes, to run around all over the place, and to get into all sorts of things. This cover for the backseat of my car is a godsend!!! It keeps the leather seat of my expensive SUV in good shape from the dog’s toenails. Helps keep the majority of the dog hair on this mattress pad, which is washable. This product is a complete back seat covering that creates a cocoon like environment for the dog to get comfortable during car rides or either short trips or those long car rides. Completely goes from window to window and from backseat to back of front passenger‘s seats. Comes with head rest covers. Nice stitching, thick padding and straps. Comes with a seat belt buckle snap to buckle in and secure your dog through the padding. Easy to assemble/disassemble. Unzips on the side for easy in an out. I should’ve bought one of these from the moment I bought the dog! I would highly recommend this to anyone no matter what size dog they have! Makes travel with your dog so much easier! Keep the dog in a safe and secure area without interrupting you or creating a distraction while driving scenario.

Update 11/14/19: After using this cover for awhile now I wanted to update my original review and bump it up to 4 stars. 1. The fibers loosen up in time and my dogs fur doesn't get stuck on it too much anymore. 2. The straps stretched out and the ends lay flat now but it was close. 3. I wished for a lighter color, but trust me be thankful it's black. Depending on how often and where you take your pet, the cover gets really dirty I couldn't believe how much dirt washed away off it today after not cleaning for a few months. 4. The strap stitching has held up better than I thought. My GSD stands on it right over the gap between the seats and there is no sign of any wear or stretching where the straps are sewn to the cover that wrap around the headrest. Go ahead and buy it, as long as you have a good dog you'll be happy. It's worth every penny! PRO TIP: Drop ten bucks on a couple cans of Scotchguard fabric protector before you install it you'll thank me later 😏👍 Original Review: The XL fit on the back seat of my 06 Expedition almost like it was made for it but... The side straps are too short so the ends lift off the seat when I hang them on the hooks over the doors. Fur sticks to the material like glue and even after washing it in the washing machine I had to hang the hammock over my fence and scrub with a rubber dog fur brush. I never got it all off and gave up. It would be nice if it wasn't black because after several car rides with two German shepherds it looks really bad because every hair shows up on it. It would have been nice to get four headrest covers instead of just two but not a deal breaker. If anyone has a question besides size and fit unless you have a Ford Expedition feel free to ask.

Love it! I have a 2016 Honda Pilot (e.g. the newer body style) and I got the XL size of this cover, which seems to be a good fit size-wise. I have a 70 pound golden retriever. The install was super easy, took me less than 10 minutes to get it all perfectly situated from the time I opened the box. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to put my dog in it just yet, so I can't speak to durability, but the quality feels good and will likely withstand my dog who is well-behaved in the car. It came with all the extras, as indicated (covers, seatbelt, clips for ceiling handles). Very minor thing, but I wish the headrest covers were black because the tan kind of looks dumb against a black interior and a black seat cover, but obviously that's just a silly aesthetics thing and not a reason to pass up on this cover. The velcro pieces for the seatbelt pop-through are great, glad to know that the seatbelts are still fully useable for human or dog! The only thing I would say that's a slight negative for others is when using the hammock style attachment in a larger/higher vehicle for a larger dog that gets into the car on their own (i.e. if you can lift your dog into the backseat, this does not apply to you). The height of the backseat in an SUV or truck often means that a dog kind of needs the legroom and/or open air space around the seat to get in on their own. Because the hammock cuts this area down when secured to the front seat headrests, I can foresee a dog feeling like they don't know where to try and jump in. I plan to simply unclip the hammock end (front seats) on the entry side until the dog is in, and then reclip before driving so the hammock function is still beneficial. It's truly a little thing, but something to consider if you have a dog who is reluctant to get in the car already or too big to be lifted - perhaps avoid the use of the hammock functionality. The cover will still be beneficial, obviously!

I recently purchased this product (XL size) for my pup (attached), and it works great! I wanted to write a quick review and include the photo to help others thinking of this product for their own dog(s). First, I have a 2017 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab. It's the largest back seat Ford offers and the seat cover does a great job fitting such a large area. It's not 100% end-to-end, but I actually appreciate it's not because it naturally keeps your dog closer into the vehicle, yet enables your pet to still stick a nose out the window if they want. The side coverings you can hang easily and it really covers everything by the window/door handle. Second, my girl is about 40 pounds, but this could easily accommodate a pup 3 times her size. Third and finally, as to washing, I've put it through the washer a couple times (machine wash cold/low dry) and it comes out really nicely. Honestly, it is a bit awkward squeezing into your machine, but it still is better than trying to manually wipe it all down. In all, I would definitely recommend this covering to anyone. For the price, you can't get better.

No worries about the trip back from the dog park. This cover totally protects the entire back seat, is well anchored so it isn’t sliding around, and the teether keeps her safely in the back seat. Wipes down easily. Takes a minute to put it all in place but easy to do.

We bought this seat cover for our Saint Bernard. He has gone through several cheaper ones quite quickly putting holes in the seams because he is so heavy. We travelled full-time in an RV for one year so he was in the truck almost daily. This seat cover has been extremely durable. We washed it in industrial washers and dryers a few times and it held up well. It's also easy to wash with a wet cloth. I recommend this product for large dogs especially.

Gute Qualität! Habe diese Hundewanne schon länger im Auto und sie sieht immer noch aus wie neu. Gute Pflege vorausgesetzt! Leider ist XL viel zu groß für durchschnittliche Autos. XL fällt bei mir mit 145 cm deutlich zu lang aus - bei einer Sitzbank von etwa 130/135 cm. Meine Empfehlung: Lieber etwas kleiner bestellen!
