This was a retirement gift gor a boss. It was delivered quickly. It appears to be of good quality. The compass works, but i haven't checked for complete accuracy. The box looks nice and closes well. You could attach a plate or emblem to the top of the box. You could also attach a small plate or emblem on the inside of the lid.

The compass Is solid, heavy, well finished. The latch is a little delicate and finicky. The box has a decent varnish but the inner lip had large splinters. The felt top and bottom were not laid in square and the inner sides are not felted. I had planned to sand, stain and refelt the box before giving it as a gift so it would match the desk it would sit on. My friend loves it.

The box that the compass came with it was smaller than the compass. The box could not be latched ! This was suppose to be a gift and could not return the item because there was no time! Very disappointed 😆🙃😕
