It mainly deals with the middle of the stave to make things easier on the brain as you go along and concentrates mainly on 3 notes the crochet, semibrave and minim. The crochet (one note) a semibrave (one note that covers 4 beats) and a minum that covers 2 beats. This is more then enough to learn basic music theory then once you get used to that can move on to more progressive stuff. This way you are not paying for an expensive book thats gonna make you give up too soon. If you get passed this stage which anyone with patience and determination to learn guitar and music will do you can move on to the next stage (book) its much better this way then jumping in at the deep end.
