HUM Best of Berberine Supplement 1200mg, Metabolic & Gut Health, 60 Count | BioPerine, High Absorption, 2 Capsules Daily, Vegan, Non-GMO, Gluten Free

I decided to try this brand of Berberine because of its TrustScore in my SuppCo app, which carefully and scientifically tests and reviews supplements. I had been taking another Berberine supplement since February of this year in an effort to support my weight loss journey and lower my cholesterol. I had read that Berberine would help curb cravings and appetite and possible help reduce cholesterol and mine was quite high. I can't say it curbs appetite all that much, but it does seem to help with sugar cravings. I take it in the morning with breakfast. I noticed a significant improvement when I switched to this brand over the one I had been taking. No upset stomach, I'm pretty sensitive to things in general. Good energy, much better appetite control and the quality is far superior to the one I was taking before. It's a little more expensive, but to me worth the slightly higher price due to better absorption and noticeable effects. I have lost 50 lbs and my high cholesterol levels are now all within normal limits (although I was also put on a low dose statin for 8 months this year, which I have been able to stop as my cardiologist was shocked by the significant reduction in my cholesterol levels). I've wondered if the Berberine worked with the statin to help rapidly reduce my cholesterol levels although losing 50 lbs most certainly contributed as well. I think this brand is far superior to others I've tried.

It works for me! I have been taking this for three or four weeks. The first couple of weeks I noticed very little appetite control and no weight loss. But suddenly this last week I noticed I was eating way less and lost 5 pounds! So far I love it. I’ve had no side effects with this and will continue to take it. It’s the first thing that has ever worked for me. Update: After a couple more weeks of taking this I noticed a moderate degree of stomach upset. It was enough that I decided to test it, hoping it wasn’t these pills because they do seem to work. I quit taking them for a couple days and my stomach was better. Then I took one pill instead of two and within a half hour the stomach upset was back. So unfortunately I will have to stop taking them.

I'm not a person that eats much in one sitting. I'm a grazer. I munch a lot. But now that I'm in my 50s, my body acts differently. Managing my weight and body shape is one of those "different" things I'm having trouble with. Becoming overweight has always been a huge source of anxiety for me. I'm afraid of the medical issues and lifestyle consequences that come with being overweight. With these pills, my appetite & "munchies" mentality is gone! I could go all day without eating if I didn't have a handful of pills I need to take with food in the evenings. I have not noticed an increase of energy. I have not had any bad side effects. It has not hindered my sleep. I take 2 pills in the morning, with breakfast, or sometimes just coffee, & I'm just not hungry or munchie all day. I don't know if it would last until bedtime because I do make myself eat dinner to take my pills. I've only been taking them for about a week so I haven't noticed any weight loss yet. But like I said, I'm in my 50s now. Weight loss takes longer now. But I will definitely be ordering these again next month!

I started taking these and exercising 20 min everyday, I did lose weight but I can't tell if from supplement or regular exercise. However, I'm giving 1 star because I'm having stomach issues and I attribute it to this supplement. I usually take with food but it's not helping this constant bloating and stomach pain I'm experiencing. It's awful. Gonna continue exercising without taking this and seeing if weight stays off. I don't think this is worth the tummy troubles. Hours after taking this supplement, I had to go randomly in public places and makes things super uncomfortable and inconvenient. Makes me randomly light headed and nauseous too and I don't normally feel like this.

Thought it was working, seemed to help with regulating me and curving food cravings however after 1 week of use I had an allergic reaction to it… broke out with an unusual rash/ hives on face.

I have tried a few different berberine supplements and HUM brand is the only one that has helped me lose weight. It is not a rapid weight loss but a slow and steady one, which is much better than being stuck for close to a year with the scale going up and down a pound. I'm a 65-year-old woman and was looking to lose 5-7 lbs. I'm down 2 at 1/2 lb. a week so 5 more to go! I continue to eat healthy and work out. HUM berberine has helped get the scale moving again. I recommend it for helping to lose weight. Slow and steady wins the race!
