Going out for blue catfish. Reel looks and feels great, but it didn’t function right out of the box and there seems to be some slop in it. I have to thumb the reel some to even get the spool to release to let out line for a cast. Made adjustments to the spool tensioners but that didn’t seem to work. Even let a buddy check it out. After hooking a turtle and the pressure it out in the reel seemed to work better after, but felt discouraged after the reel didn’t really perform its primary function out of the box.
