They keep sand and rocks out brilliantly and are extremely good at protecting the feet from sharp rocks, while also being simple enough to take on and off. One thing I did notice was the dye bleeds a little, but again this isn't a huge issue. They tended to get clogged up with sand then get heavy and fall off but you would not have sand trouble in the shower. Used for snorkelling twice in Sharm el sheikh. Considerably cheaper than the 'better ones' for circa ~£20 and i'm sure gives a similar experience for low usage. They're light, pretty thin (sole is thick enough!) comfortable, it's easy to forget you're wearing them, and fit as expected. The sole insert inside is removable for a bit more comfort and thickness on the bottom and helps with drying too. They fill with sand but that's expected. Only downside is after the first use I found 2 small holes in the material above my toes. Almost like small cigarette burns. After a 2nd use, those holes didn't seem to enlarge so will probably be OK.
