They were folded over a little to fit in the shipping box, but they quickly flattened. I washed them in warm soapy water, rinsed them in warm to hot water, dried them a bit and allowed them to continue air drying, which they didfairly quickly.Pros:• Packaged in a flat plastic sleeve so not a pain to flatten!• Protects my table from scratches!• Nice look! I was pleasantly surprised since they are not actual fabric!• Flip side has opposite color pattern as pictured below. (Pattern and colors look different depending on angle!)Cons:• Slides maybe TOO easily on both my wood table and granite countertops, but not a deal-breaker!• Crumbs will get in the nooks and crannies! And spills will go right through these! Not an issue for careful adults, but I can see it being an issue for those with kids! - Or messy non-kids! Ha!• Not easy to clean!
