Creighton!!!
I can say that starting the Rina verse from the very beginning was the best call in my own opinion. It made me love these characters even more because I had already read the parent books. Creighton King may not be biologically a King but he is a King in every way shape and form. Being the son of Aidan and Elsa king just proves that. He is ruthless, because of his past but deep down he’s a caring lovable man. He was full of greys and black until he met Annika Volkov and then he too became her favorite colour 🥹 everything that helped him grow was because of her and visa versa. I loved every second of this book and I can’t wait to move onto Jeremy’s book. Out of the first two books from the legacy of gods series, Creighton is take the top spot as my favorite, but we shall see! 5/5 ⭐️ 4/5 🌶️

I found this book was dark, intense, and completely addictive, 100% give a read if your read the first one. Definitely worth a read.

This book 🤯 Right from the start I was absolutely hooked on this book and finished it within 24 hours!! It was soooo good!!! Maybe the best in the series for me! I absolutely love a forbidden romance so this was right up my street! Creighton & Annikas story was action packed from the start. I thought Killian was possessive but the fact Creighton is ready to end it when Annika is in a dark place having those thoughts 🥺 Creighton and Annikas story was just the best! The fact they know each other so well that they just get it! Ugh I’m actually obsessed with them 🥰 I’ve come to realise I have read the books relating to the parents!!!! So that was amazing especially the chapters where I get a sneak back into their life and how they haven’t changed any! 🤩 Fully recommend these series!! ❤️🔥

I painfully got through this 🙄
A lot better than book 1, it had a plot this time around that kept me reading to see where it would lead. 3 stars too much repetitive description about characters and how they looked 🙄 not enough dept when explaining about the trauma certain characters went through. All the parents are carbon copies of one another you can only tell them apart by their names. Nothing Mafia happens in this book, they could be the Men in Black cause that's all the description we get plus they have Russian accents; and nobody attends class hardly even though they are at college 😆. It was a ok read I was entertained.

Creighton & Annika are HOT!

They’re not my favorite couple, and I don’t think this book topped the first one—Killian is still front and center in my mind, and that’s a tough act to follow. ⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹ જ⁀➴ᡣ𐭩 𝔄𝔫𝔫𝔦𝔨𝔞 I really love Annika—she’s such a sweetheart! That said, she came off a bit too childlike at times, which was... erm the one. I absolutely adored her bond with her brother, though. And without giving anything away, I just don’t get why she did that—it felt super dramatic. But hey, it kept me on the edge of my bed, so I’ll let it slide. જ⁀➴ᡣ𐭩 ℭ𝔯𝔢𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔬𝔫 I love Creigh—there’s just something about the quiet characters that gets me. Especially after seeing glimpses of him in the first book, getting his POV and watching how he interacts with Annika felt like handing cocaine to an addict… and yes, I was the addict. Also, his friendship with Remi? Obsessed. He’s the only one who actually takes Remi seriously, and I absolutely love that. Me and a kidnapping trope go soooooo good together thats all I can say. ♡ Legacy of Gods Rating ♡ God of Malice ┈➤ˎˊ˗ ✶✶✶✶✶ God of Pain ┈➤ˎˊ˗ ✶✶✶✶

Cray Cray for Creigh and Anni!
4.5 🌟 Absolutely devoured this! Really liked the first book, but feel this was a step up for me in terms of the emotional complexity. I feel it probably comes down to your preferences of tropes / couple dynamics though. Creigh is next level controlling and dominant! I really enjoyed seeing his emotional journey and understanding his previous trauma. Also his relationship with Eli is surprisingly adorable and just seeing how much the whole King family care for him. And Anni is a really likeable FMC! She’s naive at points but loved seeing her grow and mature! I definitely preferred the plot of this one. The twist reveal and then the stuff on the island, was really well done. The island part had me literally crying as both seemed so broken. On to the next one it seems!

Creighton truly is the God of Pain
I don’t know where to start, there’s the obvious “if you liked god of malice you’ll love this” but although this is part of a series it needs recognition in its own right. Creighton is a gloriously morally grey MMC who meets his match with Annika, his complete opposite. He’s quiet, she’s loud. He’s dark, she’s light. They are the grumpy sunshine trope but on crack. Creighton doesn’t think this tiny delicate sheltered innocent can handle his proclivity’s… but the more they explore the more he unlocks a side of her that is not only made for him but can match him. She is the the perfect budding masochist to his very dominant sadist. I’m gonna warn you now, if pain is not your thing then maybe Cray Cray is not the MMC for you. Despite his growing feelings for Anni, Creighton’s past still haunts him (please check the authors TW’s - this is a dark college mafia romance). When even darker truths emerge they threaten to break both Anni & Creighton apart. I really did adore reading Creighton & Anni’s story and I definitely give this 4.5-5 stars just for the relationship and how it’s builds. And the spice is spectacular. There were some parts from 75% onwards that I felt could have had more exposition with regards to Creighton’s emotional state in a pretty major plot point. Also, I may have wanted to shake them both and say “just say exactly how you feel” as they worked through that but neither of these things affected my overall enjoyment of the book.

Enjoyable
I really enjoy how Rina writes banter between her characters; so many times I burst out laughing at things Creighton said/did and also how Remi responded. That said, this book started off incredibly sweet which later turned a lot darker (a contrast from God of Malice). Overall, I sort of wish Creighton’s backstory was woven into the chapters better because I did feel some things were rushed. There was also a point where I struggled to continue (I was getting kind of bored), but I’m glad I persevered nevertheless because the story really picked up after that and kept at that pace until the very end. Sadly, I didn’t think God of Pain was better than God of Malice. However, it’s still a solid book. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

💜💜 Rina said that Anni & Creigh were going to wreck us - she did that and more.💜💜
I’ve been so excited for God of Pain because I hoped to get a glimpse of Adrian & Lia again 💜 Their trilogy is my favorite mafia romance of all time. So you can see why I was excited to see them again and follow Annika’s story. Rina seriously killed it with these two Anni & Criegh are everything I wished for and more. I 100% stayed up until 4am sobbing and rooting for these characters - if you know me, you know I love when a book makes me cry - I was feeling absolutely everything the characters were going through. This is what keeps me coming back to Rina’s books over and over.💜 Annika is sunshine wrapped in a pretty purple dresses. Creighton is grumpy personified and lets you know it with just one look. Getting to know these characters was a ride and a half. The plot is dark, twisted and the spice is down right panty soaking.🫠 The push and pull between these two and their build up is EVERYTHING. 🙌🏻 I don’t want to give anything about the plot away but trust me when I say - You will not be able to put this down - There are elements of mystery and suspense that will have a hold on you. The side characters in Rina’s books always add a lightness and the perfect dash of humour - I still can’t get over how bloody hilarious Remi is though, his dramatics make me cackle. (Also the group chats have such hold on me, I swear I live for those parts.) Let me tell you, you are not ready for the spice Rina brings in this one. It was complete and utter perfection. 🥵🫠 If you like grumpy x sunshine, praise kink, dark anti-heroes, mafia elements, mystery and a dash of “touch her and die” vibes this is the book for you. Now I patiently wait for God Of Wrath 😇

I loved it so much!
Okay, this book was LONG but I wasn't bored for even a second. The writing was obviously very engrossing and the clash of the RES world with the Bratva world was more thrilling than I was expecting. This book was much better than book one in the series. I can't stop thinking about all the characters especially that one scene where Adrian & Aiden finally clash! I also loved Creighton & Annika. They gave me the buzz and I loved their dynamics. And not to mention the pov's of Adrian, Lia and Aiden were very heartfelt and at the same time entertaining. I'm pretty obsessed with this book mostly because of all the characters involved. I ate up every single interactions between them. Creighton's bond with Eli, Elsa and Aiden was so much more than I could ever have contemplated. The flow of the story was smooth and I just devoured it in one sitting! It started and ended with a bang and kept me hooked throughout. It was easily a five star read for me and I just can't stop thinking about what's going on between Jeremy & Cecily and Eli & Ava respectively. I seriously don't know how am I going to wait for Eli & Ava's book because their crumbs in this one were top-tier and it's confirmed that their book is going to be the last in the series. I can't stop wondering whose book is going to be next though.

Passion, Pain, and Possession: Anni and Creigh’s Explosive Love Story in God of Pain
Rina Kent never fails to deliver dark, addictive romance, and God of Pain is no exception. This book is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions, tension, and undeniable chemistry between two characters who shouldn’t work together but somehow, they do. Anni and Creigh are like fire and ice, oil and water completely opposite in so many ways, yet they fit together so perfectly that it’s impossible not to root for them. Anni is rebellious, carefree, and untamed, while Creigh is structured, disciplined, and carries a quiet intensity that makes him all the more dangerous. Their dynamic is electric, with a push-and-pull tension that keeps you hooked from the first page to the last. What I love most about their relationship is how they challenge each other. Anni is the kind of heroine who refuses to be caged, even when the man in front of her has the power to break her. She’s wild, stubborn, and refuses to conform yet Creigh, with his controlled dominance, sees her in a way no one else does. He doesn’t just want to tame her; he wants to understand her, possess her, and make her his in a way that is both passionate and consuming. And Anni? She pushes him right back, cracking through his carefully constructed walls and unraveling the parts of him he tries so hard to keep hidden. The way Rina Kent crafts their story is pure magic. The tension is off the charts, and the emotional depth between them is beautifully raw. There are moments of pure frustration, moments that make your heart ache, and moments that leave you breathless because their chemistry is just that intense. And let’s not forget the darker undertones of the story Rina Kent always brings a sense of danger and intrigue, making every scene even more gripping. Beyond the romance, the world-building and side characters add so much richness to the book. The Royal Elite universe is always filled with complex dynamics, family expectations, and power plays, and God of Pain weaves all of that into Anni and Creigh’s journey in a way that feels seamless. Overall, God of Pain is an intoxicating, intense, and deeply satisfying read. If you love dark romance with strong-willed characters who crash into each other and create something beautiful from the wreckage, this book is a must-read. Anni and Creigh’s love story is messy, passionate, and unforgettable just the way it should be.

5 - oscuro, sensazionale, travolgente
IO NON SO NEMMENO DA DOVE INIZIARE CON QUESTO LIBRI SINCERAMENTE. NON NE HO LA F*TTUTA IDEA. Creig e suo fratello Eli mi avevano conquistato già in God of Malice. E' spietato, sanguin*so. E l'infliggere dolore sessu4lm3nte. E' un sadic*. Vedere quel lato di lui, così domaninate. Oscuro.

💜 Creighton and Annika 💜
This series is amazing. The story is great ( as always), the characters are interesting and have depth and the side characters are always funny or insightful in some way or another. It was highlight for me having Lia, Adrian and Aiden’s pov for so many reasons. This book made me like Lia and Adrian more than before and Aiden is just a f***ing great father. Who knew he would be this amazing? Elsa is still everything he sees but his sons are his reward and I loved everything second of them. Annika is a balanced character in the way that she can be carefree but also serious and fierce. She’s loyal to her family to a fault and she had a difficult journey ahead of her in order to get what she wanted in life. Creighton was so interesting to unravel. He’s the type that only speaks when needed and doesn’t like to waste words. Words are very important and silence can say a lot. He’s so quiet and seemingly doesn’t care about anything but when Annika comes into his life, he started living and appreciated how much Annika can babble to fill the silence. Their relationship was so seamless but also not in a way. I loved how they were together. Annika persistence made them inevitable. Cray’s dominance was so 🥵🫠! Their sexy times together were amazing and he’s definitely the God of Pain. 🤭🫠 Cray has a shocking and sad past and the way his life intertwined with Annika’s was just 🤯. It broke my heart when everything came to light and it was painful to read. Eli surprised me with how much he doted on Creighton and I loved every second of it. Eli has a lot going on in his mind so I’m very interested to see how his story goes. Landon is still being Landon in this one and I don’t know what to make of him. He’s not on my favorite list for now. 😶 Brandon is still sweet guy and I wonder how much darkness he has inside him. 🤔 Nikolai is still as crazy and I loved him. Nikolai and Brandon are happening and I wanted it badly! Jeremy is a lot like Adrian but also not. I wonder how much he differs from Adrian tho and how he runs his empire. Adrian is great. I didn’t loved him in his book but this book definitely gave him brownie points even though he’s still overprotective. He’s Papa bear through and through. Aiden as I mentioned was amazing every time he appeared. I loved how he supported his sons no matter how ludicrous their ideas or what they wanted were. Obviously he made me cry towards the end. He’s just so great and I loved him and Elsa and how they dealt with everything. 🥹 His confrontation with Adrian was gold! Cecily is in trouble for sure and I have a theory so let’s see how wrong I am about it. 😂 I’m 99.9% sure Cecily and Jeremy’s book are next. Either way I’m super ready for God of Wrath!
