How well does the DW4765 work in dry cutting slate (not porcelain)?

This blade will cut slate with no issues, provided you don't let the blade overheat. I.e. pour cold water occasionally to keep it cool; cut small sections at a time. Guessing you will be cutting long, thick sections of slate.

Can I use the dewalt 20v 4 1/2 circular saw

Yes it will work with any 4 1/2 inch circular saw.

what is the copper washer/shim which comes with the blade for ?

The washer is used if you have a smaller arbor on the grinder.

Compatible with bosch gsw 9-125 grinder ?

Compatibility simply depends on the arbor size. The package should include a 5/8" or 7/8" arbor adapter. Thus, if your Bosch matches either of these sizes, you're "good to go".
