I was worried that this wouldn’t be vibrant on darker hair but it was! You have to comb the color through a lot more for darker hair but it does work well. My daughter’s blonde hair was very easy to color.

This chalk color comes in two application methods. One applicator is flat and circular. You can rub this on your head to cover larger sections. For smaller sections or just a tiny bit of color, you can use the applicator that is like a mascara applicator. I used this applicator to cover the front of my son's hair for wacky tacky day and the circular applicator to cover my daughter's hair. Both applicators work great and the color washes out easily with shampoo

Needed a lot to get the color to really show up but it was great and lasted the whole day. Washed out easily and didn't stain my clothes.

I’m not sure what the mascara like tube is for, but the hair chalk is super easy to use. Just brush is through your hair and you get pink highlights! It works better on lighter hair, but still shows up on darker hair after a couple applications. I love that it’s temporary and easy to apply so I can use it on my daughter. She even put it in herself!

If you’re looking for something to add a few little highlights this would be a good choice. If you’re looking for all over color or larger sections I would not recommend this product at all. It is difficult to cover a large area in a timely manner and isn’t very opaque. It also requires multiple layers to show up. I ended up having to door dash regular colored hairspray in a costume emergency because this didn’t work for me. Hope this helps!

I was a little skeptical of this chalk as I have very dark hair and not many colors actually show on it. This pink goes on easy and shows up bright and vibrant on my black hair. I can't wait for Halloween to add some color to my hair to complete my outfit!
