โ โ โ โ โ My Daughter Put Clip-On Mermaid Earrings on Me and I Have Never Been Taken More Seriously
Allow me to set the scene: a small pink plastic table in the playroom. Four chairs. One occupied by a teddy bear, one by a stuffed giraffe named Professor Sprinkles, one by my six-year-old daughter wearing a tiara, and one by me, a grown man whose knees are currently at the level of his ears. This is a tea party. The tea is imaginary. The dress code is not. And when these 20 pairs of clip-on earrings arrived, the dress code officially changed. I was informed, in a very formal voice, that "gentlemen must also sparkle."I was assigned the dangling mermaids. The ones with the glittery pink tails hanging from sparkly scale hearts. She clipped them on my earlobes with the precision of a surgeon and the confidence of a fashion designer at Paris Fashion Week. Then she stepped back, squinted, and said, "Better." That's the highest compliment I've received since my wedding day. Professor Sprinkles got the rainbow clouds with little crowns. The teddy bear got the pink bears holding hearts, which my daughter explained was "so he doesn't feel alone." I'm not crying. You're crying. The collection in this box is honestly staggering. Purple butterflies. Tiny green dinosaurs. Rainbows. Clouds wearing crowns, for some reason. Unicorns. Unicorns inside ice cream cones, which feels like a crossover episode nobody asked for but everyone needed. Mermaids. Ladybugs. Pink donuts with ladybugs on top. Whales. Glittery shells with pearls. Shooting stars. It's not an earring set. It's a Saturday morning cartoon lineup from every decade combined. I opened the case and a tiny rainbow shot out and hit me in the eye.Clip-on earrings are an underrated technological achievement. No piercing. No needles. No tears at the mall kiosk while a teenager with a staple gun asks you to "hold still, sweetie." Just a clip, a click, and instant glamour. They're also hypoallergenic, which means even Grandpa could wear them without breaking out, and he did. At Thanksgiving. My daughter assigned him the tiny dinosaurs. He wore them through the whole dinner and nobody said a word. Then he carved the turkey with the regal energy of a man who knew his accessories were on point. My uncle asked if he could have the whales. He was denied. He's still bitter. And the party favor potential? Unreal. My daughter's birthday party had 11 kids. At the end, every kid got to pick a pair. It was like the NFL Draft. Complete strategy. One girl traded her ladybugs for the ice cream unicorns and a Rice Krispie treat. Another held out for the rainbow drops and refused to budge, like a seasoned union negotiator. By the end, the playground economy had fully shifted. The shooting stars became the currency of the first grade. A single pair of mermaid clips can now be traded for three recess passes and a Lunchable. My daughter is now the Federal Reserve of her elementary school.Side effects may include:Sitting in tiny chairs at tiny tables until your legs go numb, and not caringForgetting you're still wearing the earrings and answering the door for a delivery guy in glittery dolphinsBeing asked by your daughter to rate each pair on a scale of "nice" to "magical"Hearing the words "Daddy, you're so pretty" and deciding life has reached its peakAccidentally clipping one onto the dog, who now refuses to take off his little rainbowOne small complaint: 20 pairs is not enough. It seemed like plenty at first, but between the tea parties, Grandpa, the birthday party draft, and the dog, we're down to four pairs, and my daughter has already sent me a formal request (written in purple crayon, signed with a heart) for the 40-pack. She added "PLEEEEASE" with eleven E's. I've been negotiating in rooms full of executives for twenty years. I have never been outmaneuvered like that. The Tea Party Has Concluded: all guests adorned, all tea (imaginary) consumed, one father thoroughly glammed up with dangling mermaids, and a teddy bear who finally feels included. Order confirmed for the 40-pack. Professor Sprinkles would like the shooting stars next time.

MY DAUGHTER APPROVES!!! โญโญโญโญโญ
My daughter is absolutely smitten with her new earings!!! Her brother recently got his ears pierced and she kind of got a little scared so she's been using stickers as ratings. They accidentally got thrown away and she was devastated... I got her these and she absolutely loves them!!!One tiny compliant... I would have loved if there was a rubber cushion on the clip cause her ears are a tiny bit red but other then that tony little thing... 5 stars!!!!

Ehh
The clip part is a little cheap and some are broken. Itโs good for costume play for a child. Itโs fair for the price you pay.
