I don't recall, I don't think so. Look for small wooden boxes on Amazon, I bought one for about $6.00 and spent 2 weeks staining , varnishing, polishing the damn thing, and it does a beautiful job.

How far does the drill bit extend beyond the countersink, i.e how deep will it drill before the countersink hits?

It extends about 3/4 inch out if you bottom the drill bit. But since the bit is removable and you have a longer bit of the same diameter you can change and vice versa if you have a shorter bit.

Does the drill half work with an impact driver?

This is a wood screw bit one side drills and recesses head, Quick change to install WOOD screws #6-8-10 screws. Most impact drivers can be set just to drill and would work.
