These gas valves were a decent price, restored functionality to my dryer, direct replacement with little hassle and have been going strong for several years now at the time of this review.

Update - It works, by bad - the previous solenoid had a sleeve that came off when I removed it. Also this item has no instructions link! You need to align solenoid carefully with a plastic notch at the top. It probably works for many dryers, but it did not work for my Whirlpool WGD5900SW0 (Vintage 2007). One of the solenoids fits fine, but the other one was a hard fit, and it appears too tight. I am buying much more expensive OEM part now.

I spent a couple of days and several hours trying to diagnose our dryer that was no longer staying hot. It would heat up for a few minutes and then stop heating for the rest of the cycle. I tested every component including the high temp thermostat, cycling thermostat, igniter, flame detector, and even the solenoids and all of them tested as "good" according to the information I could find online. This being the easiest and cheapest part to replace I decided to try and sure enough the dryer works perfectly now. It seems that the solenoids on most dryers tend to fail slowly rather than immediately so it's harder to diagnose. So if you're having similar issues (igniter functions and flame is established, but won't stay on) I would try this first.

Diagnosed the problem on our GE Gas Dryer on Friday and by Saturday afternoon the solenoid kit was installed and the dryer was back in service. Excellent value. Compatible with GE Dryer. Easy to install and test run.

Easy install, dryer is working great. The only frustration was the delivery was supposed to be the same day- by that evening, but it didn’t get it until the next day in the evening so almost 24 hours late. Also, it was delivered in an envelope and the electronic prongs were bent. I straighten them back out with a pair of pliers. It seems to be working.

Primo, 100% effective, 10% as expensive when compared to OE replacements.

Yes fixed the problem of dryer not heating

I can fix a lot of things with an engine but when my dryer stopped working I thought it was toast. Bought this and it fixed the problem of it just spinning and spinning but no heat. Hope this helps someone save some money

18 yr old Whirlpool gas dryer wasn’t heating properly. Diagnosed the easiest and cheapest parts to repair first starting with the solenoid. This was the parts I needed, changed them out easily, and we have a hot dryer again.

Other sites wanted 80 dollars just for a secondary coil. Amazon was in my ballpark.

It saves my gas dryer and much money, I don't need to buy a new one!
