NO HARSH VITAMIN SMELL
I like these because they do not have that strong, harsh vitamin smell that a lot of B-complex tablets have. That alone makes them much easier for me to take consistently. The softgels are also easier to swallow than the chalky tablets I have tried before. I also like that this bottle comes with 150 softgels, so it lasts a long time. The formula includes several B vitamins, plus folic acid and biotin, which is why I wanted to try it. I can’t say it magically changed anything overnight, but it fits well into my routine and is much more pleasant to take than other B vitamins I’ve used. Overall, I’m happy with these and would buy them again, mainly because they are easy to take and don’t have that awful vitamin smell.

An American-made, conservative formulation, but take care if you also take a multi
As I stated in this review title, this B-complex formulation is scientifically conservative. It has modest amounts of the B vitamins for which there are known upper safe limits, and it has larger doses of important B vitamins that are impossible to consume too much of; biotin being an important example. It’s easy in America to overdose on vitamins since, as “food supplements,” they are almost entirely unregulated. Consequently, some manufacturers sell capsules with gigantic doses that can easily cause adverse effects. I won’t get into the gory details, but one can easily buy “high potency” vitamins with MORE THAN DOUBLE the “Tolerable Upper Intake Level,” or “UL,” for that vitamin. In one example of a particular vitamin, taking too much can make your hair fall out. As can be seen in the photo, the “Vitamin B-Complex, Max Vitality” has a very generous (10✕ the daily value, or “DV”) for biotin, which has no Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) because it can be eaten by the spoonful, like a bowl of oats without side effects. The same goes for pantothenic acid; it has no UL and this formulation has a generous 200% the DV. I was looking for a safe B-complex formulation with lots of biotin because emerging science shows that “bad gut bugs” (an imbalance of the microbiota in the intestines called “dysbiosis”) are increasingly seen as responsible for a huge variety of serious illnesses. It is theorized that supplementation with B vitamins—biotin in particular—might help correct dysbiosis. Dysbiosis is an emerging discipline in medical science, so if there is a conservative B-complex formulation that might help and cannot do harm, I’m all for it. Although everyone’s metabolism and tolerance for B vitamins is different, for whatever it’s worth, I took my first softgel between meals on an empty stomach and experienced no “vitamin B burps,” which some people find objectionable. That this vitamin is made by a contentious American manufacturer is a big plus. ___________________________________________ UPDATE: Though this appears to be a quality B-complex, caution is required if you are taking a multivitamin along with it. Awwwe… Shucks. I thought I was being conservative and did my homework. It’s now been 13 days since I started taking NatureWise B-complex in the evening before bed. For years now, I’ve taken one caplet of a widely sold multivitamin, also at bedtime. Over the last several days, I developed distracting itching in my legs. Last night a few hours after taking my vitamins, strong itching started on the top of my left foot. Over the next 90 minutes, the itching worked its way up my leg, across my chest, and down my right leg before abating Moreover, for the last several days, I woke up with a red flush on the tops of both feet. I wondered, “What’s new? What am I eating, wearing, or doing that is different?” Of course, the most recent change was the addition of this B-complex (along with my multi). Some quick research on “vitamin side-effect itching” indicated my itching was undoubtedly “niacin flush.” Niacin flush is a common side effect of taking high doses of niacin supplements. According to all authoritative online sources I found, niacin flush can be uncomfortable but is harmless. NatureWise B-Complex contains 30 milligrams of niacin (B3), which is 188% of the daily value (DV) of 16 mg. My widely sold multivitamin contains 20 mg, or 125% of the DV. As I am dieting, I might be consuming about 12 mg of niacin in food. That totals 62 mg per day of niacin in food and supplements, which is nearly four times the DV. The Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL), the highest permissible amount that can safely be ingested, for niacin was based on flushing reactions and was set at 35 mg in 1988. The Lowest Observed Adverse Effect Level (LOAEL) for niacin—which is the lowest amount that can cause a side effect in some people (flushing in the case of niacin)—was established in 1938 at 50 mg. So, my 62 mg per day (food and supplements) pushed roughly four times the DV, nearly twice the UL, and even exceeded the LOAEL where I experienced the common, objectionable, but harmless “advese effect.” That I weigh only 60 kilograms (vs the 70 kg assumed for medical calculations) didn’t help.

Great Energy and Overall Wellness Support
I’ve been really happy with the NatureWise Vitamin B Complex supplement. The capsules are easy to take, and after a few weeks I noticed better energy levels and less daily fatigue. I also appreciate that it includes important nutrients like Biotin, Folic Acid, and the full range of B vitamins for overall wellness support. It feels gentle on the stomach compared to other B complex vitamins I’ve tried, and I like that it supports both energy metabolism and hair/skin health. The quality seems excellent, and the ingredients give me confidence that I’m getting a well-rounded supplement. Highly recommend for anyone looking to support energy, focus, and overall health naturally.

Go-to Vitamin B-cpx supplement
I think the most of Vitamin B-complex supplements have too much doses extremely exceeding the daily values (usually too much for B1 and B2). This one has just right amounts for each vitamin, and its price is very reasonable.
