Great upgrade.

Killer motor
Extremely impressed with this motor! And why shouldn't I be! HPI produces durable H O motors at a great price. I installed this .28 power plant in my 2 nd Savage that I recently purchased with a blown motor. Let's just say when truck hits 2 nd gear.... It pops a wheelie! Couldn't be happier

Engines good carb isn’t
I put this engine on my savage 25. When trying to break the engine in it would go right to full throttle. Checked all linkage and checked engine, carb, and gas tank for air leaks. Everything checked fine. I swapped the carburetor with the one from my old 3.5 engine and was able to get it to idle through a tank of gas for initial break in. I can only return entire engine and carb together I guess. I don’t want to do this since its not available anymore. Not sure how to get in touch with anyone since the return process seems automated, so maybe someone will see this and help me out. Maybe not
