Does this contain artificial dyes?

Yes. Red #40 and Blue #1 create the purple color. Both are FDA-approved food colorings. A dye-free Clear Ube Extract is also available.

What are the full ingredients?

Propylene Glycol, Distilled Water, Natural & Artificial Flavor, Red #40 and Blue #1. Propylene Glycol is an FDA-approved, food-grade carrier used in virtually all water-soluble flavor extracts. Sugar-free, alcohol-free, and kosher. Made in the USA

Is this actual ube extract or just a flavoring?

This is a concentrated ube flavoring extract designed to replicate the sweet, buttery taste of purple yam. It's not an ube paste, puree, or whole-food extract. It's formulated for precision dosing in beverages, baking, & frozen desserts.

How many drops should I use?

This is a super-concentrated extract — start with less and add more to taste. Beverages: 4–6 drops per 8 oz cup. Frosting and icing: 1 tsp per pound. Ice cream: ¼ tsp per half-gallon or 1 tsp per 1.5 gallons. Cake batter: ½–1 tsp per standard recipe.

Can I use this for ube lattes and coffee?

Yes, ube lattes and cold foam are among the most popular uses. Add 4–6 drops per 8 oz cup. The flavor dissolves into both hot & cold beverages without separation such as, espresso, iced coffee, matcha lattes, boba tea, milkshakes, & smoothies.
