As a content creator, I like this one much better than the R06. The light panel is bigger and much brighter. It has 5 different light modes which is a plus It gives a very soft look to my skin Quality is top notch👌🏽its very well made. Materials heavy and really great quality! The base has a very good weight to it so it can even hold my Godox which is sooo heavy and it doesn’t wobble or fall over like other table top stands. Its very versatile in terms of the movement of the panel. I can use it to shoot close up shots. The height is NOT TRUE TO THE Ad. It says it can open up to 74cm (the R06 does) but the highest is 44cm which is quite short. I am gutted because I wanted to place the light behind my vanity light for more crisp videos. Its too short to fit. Best hack would be to place it on top of something to increase the height. When I purchased the R06, I had to return it because it just wasn’t bright enough even though the stand was true to ad. I will keep this one for sure…even with the height setback. Glad I got a coupon so I had a discounted price Hope this helps x

Excellent and way easier to use than the one large light...

Bought as a light for Teams meetings. Wasn't as big as I thought, but works well. Usb cable is very long, and there's a choice of intensity and colour temperature. Clips on the monitor or comes with a little tripod. Has been very useful so far.

I wouldn’t say it was priced very well as it’s not going to hold a phone in between the ring however I’ve put mine in a good spot to light up my desk. It has multiple brightness settings it’s also got warm mixed and ice white setting which is nice depending on the mood you’re after. The clip to hold it to screens isn’t the best for gaming screens that aren’t perfectly square but there is a tripod stand with it if you can’t fix it to the top of your monitor all in all I’m happy and I’ve even hidden the wire along my mic arm so the brightness and on/off switch is easy to get to

This ring light set is absolutely fantastic, especially for how affordable it is. It does everything you’d want a clip-on light to do and more. The lights can be turned in any direction, which makes it incredibly easy to get the perfect angle for video calls, recordings, or meetings. There are plenty of lighting options to choose from, so you can adjust both brightness and tone to suit any setting. Setup is simple, controls are intuitive, and it’s very easy to use right out of the box. I genuinely love this product and use it all the time. If you’re on the fence, don’t be! I recommend it 100%. It’s a great value and works beautifully :-)

I picked up this NEEWER Basic 2 pack 10.5" desktop ring light set for my husband's desk. He works from home and takes a lot of video calls. He had horrible lighting and the times he does need to have his camera on he needed a decent light set up. That's where this comes in... First I want to say this - neither of us are super knowledgeable on lighting, much less proper lighting, for things like streaming or video calls. So I can't give you technical aspects of the proper terms or lighting or power output, beyond what is stated in the listing. I can only give you my husband's and my experience. I'll do my best without being fluent in the video/streaming lighting lingo, so apologies in advance if I explain things strange lol! Okay. So the listing says the desktop selfie ring light is 15W light with 168 LEDs which seems pretty awesome! I know it looks VERY similar to the light color and power I use for my make up in our bathroom, so that's good. It also says this is good for making YT videos or zoom calls. Zoom calls and other video calls are mostly what we needed this for. This also has full panel lights with this set too! We both thought that was pretty cool. I haven't personally seen those before. Again, granted, I have not really looked into these lights to know what all is available or better, etc. There's likely eyes rolling at me saying the full panels are pretty cool lol! That's okay. So theres 2 ring/halo lights and 2 full panels in this set. I like that. These are also portable lights and they have a small footprint whre ever you put them. They don't take up a ton of room on his desk. This is great bc he doesn't have a ton of room for stuff like this with huge bases or large spaces needed for set up. These have the buttons to work these on a little panel right under the light on the side that faces you. It also accommodates your phone in a little grab holder thing (I told you there would be weird descriptors lol) and it will take a lot of different kinds and sizes of phones. They both have a good range of adjustable hight on them, and the light face itself can swivel a full 180°, which is cool. The base is nice and large enough so it doesn't tip with the light in any position. And, its thin enough to slide under something to make use of the space on the desk in that way too. The colors are also adjustable in 2 ways - what the listing calls "Temperature" (I guess thats warm/soft/etc speak) and the brightness levels which again, is nice. This is also a plug and play device. Just set it up, plug it in choose your lighting preferences, and go! And, these have a timer on them too. I'm not quite sure why one would need a timer, but may as well put one on there. I know my husband has fallen asleep in his office after long calls, so I could see a timer being a nice function - either to let him sleep or to kinda wake him up when the bright light in his face goes off. So yeah, I guess I could see that being somewhat useful. Over all, so far, I have zero cons for you on these. I don't have a ton of experience with lighting for computer or streaming type purposes. But I love these lights and my husband does too! He's used them on calls a lot and the others have said it makes it a lot easier to see him and to see anything he may be trying to show them from his end - for example a book or something like that. Sometimes our daughter takes in her drawings and as soon as she's gone he will proudly show them to his friends - he works with his close friend group so it is an informal work setting. Informal enough for them to tell him his lighting was horrible and we should look into lights like these lol! Bottom line is that both my hubby and I highly recommend this set of lights for your computer set up! I'm sure they would work for some amateur photography too, but I'm just guessing there. Our daughter said they are nice and of course, like every kid, she wants to stream and loves these lights and their features- we don't let her, she's not old enough. But she's pretty up to date on what's good to use it seems, and she likes this set a lot. If this has her stamp of approval on it then its gotta be good! Lol! Seriously, you really should consider this if you're in the market for a well priced, quality set of desktop lights with a lot of features and color options, that also come with the option for a full face light or ring. It doesnt take up a ton of space, which is always a plus in my opinion. We have been really happy with these and I think, especially if its just for work calls, or if someone wanted to get into streaming and needed a whole all in one kit with lights like this, for the price, I think its a great option for getting started! I definitely recommend this set! These lights have worked really well for us and we have not had a single problem or issue with either of them or any of their functions. These absolutely should be a set you seriously consider!

Exactly as marketed and the quality of the material and light are perfect

Finding the right lighting for product photography can be a real headache. I frequently take photos for my reviews and I have struggled for a long time with ceiling lights creating shadows of my phone or myself over the items. Since I started using this Neewer N16 LED Ring Light, those issues have disappeared. I no longer have to wait for a day with good natural light to take my photos outside because this light provides professional results right at my desk. The illumination quality is impressive and allows me to take clear images for my reviews. One of the best features is the design that lets me place my phone directly in front of the light without creating any shadows on the object I am photographing. It illuminates everything evenly and the three color temperature options are incredibly helpful. I can easily adjust the tone to match what I see in person so the look in my cellphone camera is as accurate as possible. You can cycle through these temperatures by pressing the power button and a long press turns the unit on or off. Additionally, there are two buttons on the side near the power button to adjust the light intensity. The desk clamp is a major advantage for my setup. It attaches directly to the border of my table which saves a lot of space compared to a traditional tripod. The arm has plenty of length if you want to mount it behind a monitor to use for streaming or gaming. However, the clamp is also a bit of a limitation because you must have a flat border to attach it. While the clamp has about 3.5 inches of thread, you need to leave enough thread to maintain a secure grip without breaking it. In my experience, it handles a 2-inch thick table easily. While the battery life isn't extremely long for extended sessions, you can keep it going by plugging it into a battery bank or a wall adapter. Beyond product reviews, this would be an excellent tool for makeup application or video conferencing. It is a sturdy and versatile piece of gear for any beginner content creator.
