This unit gets 5 stars for several reasons. It is well constructed, goes together easily, and does exactly what it says it does. The options for working out are endless. Cables are smooth, assembles easy, doesn't feel cheap, and doesn't wobble. It is NOT a professional rack, designed for extreme, repetitive use and abuse where people don't care about the equipment that they didn't pay for out of pocket. It is absolutely perfect for home use. Quit paying for a gym membership, work out at home. Items of note: Instructions are perfect, the videos are also helpful. The only thing I would suggest is that Major Fitness not include that crappy wrench. It is a waste of time, cumbersome, and virtually useless. My wife figured this out the hard way because she started without me. What does make this process a 1000 times easier is an impact wrench (pneumatic or battery). You will zip thru assembly quickly. Bottom line, buy this, especially if you already have a bench and plates.

I have been shopping for a quality budget rack for a few months, but was hesitant to place an order because there was always some lacking feature in the models that I had been considering... until I came across the Drone 1. The Drone 1 by Major Fitness caught my eye when it launched, as it has a compact but sufficient footprint (I have a small garage space to put this in), can hold a substantial amount of weight, and has a cable pulley system. It seemed like the perfect design for my use case. I'm fine being an early adopter of products that have good product information, however there were already a few user reviews that demonstrated how stable and capable the rack is, so I was completely comfortable ordering. The package arrived quickly and well packaged, in 2 large boxes. I found the assembly was easy, it took me about 2.5 hours to put together myself. Most of the bolts and parts are all the same, so there's no confusion over trying to figure out which parts go where. Which is great! I recommend using a socket wrench, it'll make the assembly process a breeze. I was missing 2 pieces for the pulley system and contacted the manufacturer - they responded immediately and sent me replacements promptly. No problem, it happens. I was pleased that the Customer service support I received was top notch, which inspires confidence in my future purchases from this manufacturer. I have worked out with this unit for about 2 months now, and am VERY pleased with this purchase. The rack can handle all the weight I need it to (<500lbs), and is very stable. The included accessories are all good quality, especially at this price point, and really add a lot of functionality to the rack. Some users have complained about the feeling of the pulley system, but I have found it to be pretty smooth. Add some silicone lubricant (like silicone WD-40) to the steel poles, and I feel no friction at all when pulling on the cables. I am very happy with my decision to buy this product. It is a sturdy cage, and I think it is worth every dollar. Even better if you can get it on a deal. 5/5 stars all around, both for the product, and for the Manufacturer support. I will buy more gear from Major Fitness in the future.

Been using this for a month and its a very good machine. Not perfect but at this price it gets the job done. The option to flip the pullup bar upside down made it one of the few options for a 74" ceiling. The pulley pieces are the biggest issue. They function however, the knobs can be pulled out to adjust the height without having to twist it, which is a safety and lock. On my adjustable flat bench, the twist lock feature is EXTREMELY important. So far it hasnt led to any issues but this broken feature out of the box cost 1 star. Also, the J-hooks had to be replaced immediately. Simply not tall enough. At the end of a hard set, finding the energy to land the bar exactly on target is annoying and dangerous if you land too high. Bought taller replacements for cheap on Amazon. Dip bars are questionable quality. I dont believe the simple weld will hold up with the torque it'll experience. They may be fine for other people but I dont trust them so I dont use them. The safety bars between the 4 pillars are great quality... but they only work between the 4 pillars. If you use a spotter for bench presses, you'll need to purchase the safety bars that latch onto the front of the machine because the weight rack for the cable system blocks where a spotter would stand. Most people workout solo in a home gym but I workout with my teenage son so its a factor for me. Lastly, there aren't any numbers on the pillars so if you're off by a peg you'll have to reset it. I've outlined all the negative things to consider. If they're concerns for you then you may have to pay 2x-3x to get into a higher quality unit. Ultimately this will get the job done.

The look, feel, functions, accessories are great. The cage is solid with minimum movement. It feels sturdy, safe, and is a great addition to create a home gym. Another great point was the height of the cage that fits well in my basement. This is a great value purchase. The cage has been in use for 3 months, and I feel confident that it will be lasting for a while. It a great home equipment, of course it is still not totally comparable to a professional gym, but is perfect level of intensity and provide a great diversity of exercises. The Drone 1 definitely delivers an impressive experience. Another great value from the manufacturer is their website which offers a few free training plan (beginner, fat loss, muscle building). The plans are simple and adapted to get full use of the product.

Great sturdy squat rack with tons of accessories! Took about 2 hours to put together with a buddy. Have an impact driver and socket chucks for this, it cuts down the time a ton. Everything works great and I'm very satisfied with it. I have a very short basement; my floor joists are at 83" from the floor. The rack fit, but the pull up bar had to be situated between the joists to fit. The pull up bars could be flipped upside down if that's not an option for you. I could not install the pull up bar stabilizing rods because of my floor joists running parallel to the pull up bars, but it still feels very stable. I won't be doing too many pullups because of my low ceilings and my dislike for concussions 👌🏻. Great rack, give it a try! Invest in your health!

I bought this as a gift for my 15 year-old son to help with consistency in his strength training for basketball. He and his neighbor friend and teammate have been using it every morning religiously and it is holding up very well. I did buy some additional sturdy J-hooks to help with the heavier weighted squats, and overall it is a wonderful cage for the price. Very sturdy and high-qualit—and I love the variety of attachments, as does my son. It allows for a broad range of workouts for both upper and lower body. I got the aluminum pulleys, and I’m glad that I did they move smoothly. We have had the set for almost a year, and it is doing great with consistent use by the entire family! That’s nicely down in our basement and was easy to assemble with two people. It took around two hours. The only thing I think I would add would be a different type of Matt for that area not fitness squares —see picture.

This is a well designed, feature-rich, relatively compact power rack that will serve beginner/intermediate users well. While it isn't as stable as the big expensive racks, it is actually a bit more stable than I was expecting, and I feel comfortable lifting heavy (to me) weight on this, plus I have room to grow. Assembly was pretty straightforward. I used the included manual for most of it. Make sure to watch the assembly video, it really helps clarify the cable routing. It does take a few hours and was able to assemble and move it around myself. I appreciate that almost all of the fasteners are the same size and that some components come pre assembled. The included accessories are pretty good quality and their inclusion really helps to hit the ground running. I am 5'11" and if I were a bit taller I'd probably be a bit constrained. I don't consider this to be a product flaw since they tell you the dimensions, but it's something to keep in mind.

Quality rack, built, great for a garage set up. Deducted 1 star, for a few missing bolts and cables tend to twist. Assembly was straight forward.
