I love the smell of this as I really am fond of essential oils. It is a dark bluish color which worried me at first because I am a silver sister and I was afraid it would stain my hair. It didn't so I'm happily using it. I put it on the night before I wash my hair and massage it in. The next day I shampoo with the India shampoo and my hair smells heavenly. I also use the oil on my hair dry as I have thick curly hair and it really calms it down and makes it so shiny.

Smells wonderful. I use it as a skin moisturizer as well. Does have a dark blue color. Makes my skin very soft.

This hair oil is amazing! It has a long list of all-natural plant-based ingredients known to have many benefits already as food but also in cosmetics, and not just for hair and scalp. But together they synergistically literally feed your hair and scalp health-promoting, but gentle, ingredients that make it feel and look softer and stronger. This combination might create an odd smell during application, but I assure you from experience they not only will be good for the hair, scalp, skin, etc. but they especially don't have artificial chemical ingredients that might harm the hair or scalp, or otherwise be unhealthy. It's like the 4 food groups for your hair, containing a wide range to broadly nourish your hair and scalp including florals like hibiscus, lavender and lotus, herbs like rosemary, basil, chamomile and sage, spicy cinnamon to stimulate, vegetables like pumpkin, beet root, ginger, onions and cucumber, essential oils like tea tree, as well as roots and seeds like bamboo, chia and wheat germ. This is a great combination that really makes my hair and scalp look and feel great after just one treatment. You simply apply it by massaging it into the scalp and lightly through the hair, clip your hair up out of the way if it's long, tie a small plastic bag on your head to lock in the warmth and help it process naturally while you sleep or go about your day, and add a towel wrapped around your head both for additional warmth and so it won't move as much or make a mess while you sleep. You don't have to sleep with it on, but can also just let it work for several hours while you're up at home during the day if you have the time. Then just rinse really well a couple times to get all the oil out of your hair. Mine felt fabulous after just the first treatment, and I was so happy to see the manufacturer managed to put together such a comprehensive yet complementary formulation of all plant ingredients with no added synthetic ingredients, which is rare. I highly recommend it!

This oil nourishes my scalp so good. I immediately feel relief from any drying of my scalp and my hair feels so moisturized. I pour the oil directly in a applicator bottle for easier application. This oil has so many benefits, including over 50 plus herbs and oils. I've never used an oil with so many natural ingredients. I'm excited to see my hair hair growth after using this for a while. This oil is thicker and can weigh the hair down. I don't use a lot and I don't use everyday because my hair stays moisturized for a while. It has a refreshing, pleasant scent. You can smell the herbs in it.

I’ve been using the Indie Tribal Adivasi Hair Oil recently, and I am very pleased with the results. The first thing I noticed was the delightful herbaceous scent, with the natural fragrances of shikakai, amla, and roseberry standing out. The oil has a nice, lightweight, runny consistency, making it super easy to apply. Everyone in my household is using it now, and we all love it! When I massage it into my scalp, it has this really soothing effect, and after leaving it on for about 40 minutes, my hair feels nourished and refreshed. It washes out easily and doesn’t leave any greasy or heavy residue, and my hair feels soft, silky, and manageable afterward. What really makes this oil special is its deep connection to the traditional wisdom of the Hakki Pikki Tribes of India. It’s crafted with over 50 natural ingredients, each known for strengthening and nourishing hair, and I love that it’s free from chemicals like sulfates and parabens. The Indie Earth Adivasi Hair Oil is something I was skeptical about initially but I am so glad I tried it. After using it regularly for six weeks my hair fall has reduced noticeably and my scalp feels healthier. The oil is based on tribal hair care traditions and has a pleasant herbal scent that is not too strong. It absorbs well and does not leave the hair feeling too greasy. My hair also feels thicker and stronger. For the price this is outstanding value. I have recommended it to multiple family members already. Very happy with the results and the quality.

In terms of ingredients, there are so many, some of which have been used for centuries for health, skin and hair benefits like amla and neem. There are others I have never heard of. But no man-made chemicals. The oil is a green, blue colour and has a herbie/floral fragrance with lingering undertones of musk. Not too strong in my opinion and I really like this smell. Recommended to massage into scalp and hair and leave overnight before shampooing out. I put a towel to cover the pillow which obviously absorbs some of the oil, but saves my pillow! When rubbed into the skin on the back of my hand, the oil is fairly light and is soaked in quickly for an oil, leaving skin looking non-greasy after a few minutes. I like this as I assume it's less likely to block pores and is well absorbed. I can't say whether this will change hair thickness or health but I think it's as good as most hair oils out there. Generally if there is a powerful natural ingredient, I would buy an oil that has a large concentration of that particular one. This has many but hopefully they are in powerful formats like pure essential oils of which you only need a little to get an effect. My only negative is that this comes in a plastic bottle. I always worry that plastics leach into oils so strongly prefer glass bottles. For this price, I would expect a glass bottle so removing one star. But overall a pleasant smelling, light, well-absorbed hair oil that has some very good ingredients for skin and hair generally. Hope that helps!
