The belt itself is well made. The belt material itself feels durable and the ratchet mechanism works smoothly, with enough positions that you can get the fit exactly right rather than settling for one hole too tight. No sign of the mechanism slipping or sticking so far. Four stars because of the finish. I went for the black version and the paint on the buckle is already marking and wearing through in places. It doesn't affect how it works, but it looks scruffier than it should this early on. If you're bothered about appearance, a different colour might hold up better.
