Must have when working from home
Works really well for me. I have used the UPS for my fiber connection, wifi, security network and my IoT network. Yesterday my smart meter was replaced and was without power for 20-30 minutes, but due to the UPS I could continue to work as normal. My network stayed up when the power went off and when it came back. Well worth the investment IMHO.

3 hours run time
3hrs run time with a router, modem and digital answerphone connected whilst constantly streaming music. Like many others I bought this to power my fibre router, modem and a digital phone connected to the router which has a seperate power supply. I live in a rural area with regular short power cuts. In addition our only mobile phone mast seems to go off as well if we have a power cut as its very close by. I wanted to keep a broadband signal so I could use my digital phone and mobile via wi fi calling in the event of a powercut. It arrived within 24hrs. You have to connect the battery which sparks slightly as it is almost fully charged. The instructions make it clear that this will happen. I tested it first by plugging a lamp in then turning off the power to the UPS. The lamp stayed on with barely a flicker. Having left it on charge for 24hrs, as per instructions, I connected my router etc. then turned the power to the UPS off. The router didnt even blink and I was streaming music at the time which was not interrupted. I then timed how long it took for my music to stop indicating no more broadband and a flat battery. It was 3hrs and 3 minutes. If I hadnt been actively using the internet at the time it may have been a little longer. So there you have it. 3 hrs which is more than enough for my needs. I have used the spare sockets for my computer and monitors in the unlikely event that I am using them when the power goes off. The unit didnt get hot and other than the beep to indicate it was in use it ran silently. You can of course disable the beep. Very happy with this unit.

Just works!
Earned its keep two days after purchase - kept our NAS online during a power cut and our networking equipment online too. Would be great if they had a little more battery capacity, but for the price point it's absolutely fine. Will update the review if it ever fails prematurely.

A very reasonable price to pay for peace of mind.
I bought my first UPS, an APC tower unit, a great many years ago when I lived in an area that was subject to practically daily “Brown-outs” and the occasional power cut, one of which resulted in the dreaded Blue Screen of Death when re-booting. There have been a couple of power cuts in the area I live in now over the past 2-3yrs but they were during the day when I was out so I wasn’t particularly worried. However a week or so ago there was one in the evening which crashed my system, and although there was no BSoD on re-booting I figured it was time to invest in some peace of mind. The APC units are rock solid with user replaceable batteries, and I didn’t think to look at other brands. I do miss the LCD screen of the previous tower unit I owned but the sockets on the back of the towers are IEC C13 (kettle) outlets that need adaptor cables which would add much more clutter under my desk. I did have a couple of very minor issues. You have to, partially, remove the battery and connect the battery cable to the terminal before using the device; in my unit there was VERY little slack in the cable which made this an awkward and fiddly process… YMMV. The original PowerChute software opened in its own application window as you would expect, the new PowerChute Serial Shutdown software opens in a browser, in my case Chrome, which produced a “Your connection is not private” error message when I tried to use it. If this happens to you click on the “Advanced” and then “Proceed to localhost (unsafe)” options. Once you do that the first time Chrome should remember the exception for the browser so you shouldn’t see the warning again, which has been my experience. Regardless of the minor issues above this is a 5 Star product worth every penny of its entirely reasonable price, and with my entire system plugged into it I have 65 minutes of runtime in the event of a power cut; peace of mind indeed! In addition, if any of your devices use a switching power supply unit with interchangeable international pin adapters instead of a hard wired 3-pin UK plug which will typically block the opposing socket outlet on the UPS, then look for the GremlinLab (Pluggy) Upside Down Plug Adapter for a simple and elegant solution to the problem.

Kept things running
Yeh I got two of these one for my tv and one for my PS5 and other small electronics stuff..as I’m in a new build estate and kept getting small little power trips..on and off with the power for a few seconds each time..weird..but these have been able to keep things for that duration and have been a good send for my delicate electronics..highly recommend if you care about your tech 👍

Source of emergency power for router and telephone
I have had no other experience of a UPS. I needed one to provide digital voice backup in the event of a power cut and the Broadband Battery Backup provided by my ISP was not compatible with the ISP's router and could not support a telephone base station either. This unit looks to be well built and could provide up to 90 mins battery life to the ONT, Router and Telephone Base Station. After just one week all seems to be working well.
