This starter plant will produce Citrus mitis (calamondin) fruit in approximately 2 years. Calamondin trees are cold hardy citrus trees (hardy to 20 degrees F. or -6 C.) that are a cross between a mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata, tangerine, or Satsuma) and a kumquat (Fortunella margarita), basically a “mini-orange”. Each tree measures approximately 3” - 5" from top of soil to the highest leaf. Please Note: there is two (2) small seedlings in a single pot, to save you money. They can vary in size, but are quick growing, so even a smaller plant will be considerably larger in a couple of weeks. They can be grown indoors in a container, to produce an ornamental plant, or outdoors as a hedge, if you live in warmer climates. These hardy trees will adapt to any surroundings.
