Now they are made in Asia (Thailand or other Asian countries). The ones made in Portland had a non-waterproof black die that ran out of the Targhee 2 shoes absolutely every time they got wet, leaving my feet and socks died black. I tried everything to stop this including finally resorting to hand washing and then drying them. The weight of the shoe must have been mostly from die since they still would run black inside whenever it was wet outside. Worthless in the Cascades although I still have them for summer work shoes around the house and yard and they still die my feet black when they get moist. **Q: Do these hold up better the tennis shoes for daily wear I haven't been able to get even a year out of my tennis shoes and I'm on concrete all day** A: I’ve had my keens for 5 months and where them every day whether it be for working or walking around the neighborhood. Mine are wearing great with no signs of unusual wear. They are honestly mor comfortable than my sneakers, brooks, Nike and Wilson tennis shoes. I love them. Por ahora cumplieron totalmente. ### ⭐⭐ They don't last very long *by C***Y on 2 February 2026* ### ⭐⭐ wird immer schlechter *by H***A on 16 April 2023* Habe in den letzten Jahren mehrere Paar dieses Schuhs gekauft und denke, dass der Schuh immer schlechter wird. Weshalb es auch mein letztes Paar Targhee (3) gewesen ist. Bereits beim vorletzten Paar hatte ich schlechtere Verarbeitung bemerkt, dachte jedoch, dass es ein Einzelfall sei. Nein. Ist es nicht. Bei diesem Paar ist nach rund 20 Stunden Tragezeit bereits eine deutliche Abnutzung der Sohle zu erkennen. Noch 50-60 Stunden und die Sohle ist vorauss. soweit abgenutzt, dass ich den Schuh wahrscheinlich wegwerfen muss. Die Verklebung der Zehenkappe löst sich bereits an einer Stelle des linken Schuhs. Im rechten Schuh bildet sich im Innenfutter bereits ein Loch durch (?), obwohl die Schuhe nur mit neuen Wanderstrüpfen getragen wurden. Das Außenleder dieses Schuhs (der Serie) ist so dünn, dass es beim letzten Targhee trotz Fettens nach einiger Zeit gerissen ist (vielleicht stand der Schuh mit 1 Meter zeitw. zu nah an der Heizung). Ich bin gespannt, wie es dieses Mal sein wird. Zu allem Überfluss kommt es mir so vor, als sei der Schuh etwas schmaler geworden, als habe man die Leisten verändert. Gerade die breitere Ausführung war für mich mit ein Grund dafür, dass ich seit ca. 15 Jahren KEEN trage. KEEN hat im Bereich Sohle im Laufe der Jahre stark nachgelassen, nach meiner Meinung. Neuer Hersteller, weniger haltbare Mischung, was weiß ich. KEEN werde ich zumindest bei einem anderen Modell zunächst noch treu bleiben.
