It only comes with the machine not the candy

Can I modify it to require 2 or 3 quarters?

You can modify it if you take the time to buy and make the proper changes to the machine mechanism. However I would not recommend as it would cause more problems than it’s worth they do have ones that are pre built to take 2-3 quarters at a time. This ones standard settings only puts out about 7 small candies at a time it’s not built for larger items that you would charge that much for.
