Quality Brand
Believe it or not, my 2017 Jeep Renegade still has the original battery in it. Of course, it makes me a little nervous to have a 9-year-old battery, but it’s still going strong, so I figured I’d get a portable jump starter just in case. While I haven’t had a chance to use the Clore JNC305, the reason I chose this jump starter is the quality of the brand. After doing a ton of research, I found that the Clore brand is very reliable. For example, the larger battery-style jump starter, Clore JNC 660, is used by professionals and has a lifespan of up to ten years. And the slightly larger lithium jump starter, the Clore JNC325, was awarded best jump starter by Car and Driver. I chose the JNC305 over the JNC325 because it’s less expensive and starts engines up to 6.0 liters. Since my Renegade is 2.4L, I figured it should have plenty of juice to fire up my engine if the battery fails. I also like the fact that it has an override function to start a totally dead battery. A lot of these jump starters don’t have that feature. Additionally, it has heavy-duty, extra-long 21-inch #8 AWG jumper cables. Important because it delivers more power to your battery and the length gives you more options to attach the negative cable further away from the battery if needed. As a bonus, it includes a Repair Service Coupon which allows for a one-time, fixed-fee repair after the 1-Year Warranty period has expired. Clore doesn’t have a fancy brand name like NOCO or GOOLOO or HULKMAN. I think that’s just a marketing strategy, but what it does have is a solid reputation for quality. And as a bonus, Clore is a company with heart, they donate money to children’s hospital in Kansas where they are headquartered.

The only portable jump starter that has never let me down
I’ve owned several portable jump starters over the years, and this is the first one that starts my car on the first try, every single time. My car’s battery had discharged completely to 0 volts after sitting too long without driving. The JNC305 has an override mode for totally dead batteries, and it started the car without any trouble. I’ve used it multiple times since with the same result. A few things that stand out compared to other units I’ve owned: the cables are noticeably longer, which makes it much easier to reach the battery without awkward positioning. The build quality feels solid and well-made. And the instructions are clear enough that you don’t have to guess what you’re doing. It’s also compact enough to keep in the car without taking up much space. The storage back it comes with is a nice touch. If you drive infrequently or have ever been stranded with a jump starter that wouldn’t do the job, this is worth the upgrade. It’s the one I actually trust.

Handy piece of kit that works as promised
5 stars for both the product and the seller who delivered in record time. Followed the instructions as written, and it revived a Mustang car battery idle in a covered garage for two months in Chicago winter. First time the lights turned on etc. but the engine didn't turn over. Second time it started up, no problem. I bought this on recommendation from Car and Driver, and it's a handy piece of kit to have on hand. There are no power outlets in my building's garage so a battery tender/maintainer/charger isn't an option; and my car usually lives in warmer climates where I drive more, but now I walk nearly everywhere and the car lives a posh life.

Absolute Must Have
This thing is awesome. I used it to jump my 5.7L '99 Yukon without so much as a struggle. I used the jump pack 4 or 5 times between different vehicles before I decided to chathe it back up. It was still showing 75% charge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hybrid/Emergency only for me
Compact and good price. Will easily store in car. Bag included that takes up very little space. Received and have it charging now. Will use for emergency when jumping car. Recently bought a hybrid Toyota and realized that it probably shouldn’t be used to jump start another car. Also can use it to start the hybrid if needed. We’ll see how it works.

Didn't hold up to time (disappointed)
I bought this jump and carry about 7 months ago and it has only worked about 4 out of 10 times since it was purchased and now out of nowhere it will NOT take a charge, I followed the steps online to resolve the issue without the issue being resolved now I can't find the correct information to call the manufacturer! Overall I'm incredibly disappointed with this purchase
