Review: Great as Meal Toppers - Love Open Farm products, so far everything we have tried has exceeded all of my expectations. I cook all of my French Bulldogs food with the exception of a few treats. And I wanted something that would give me the ability to add organs to his diet without having to cook them. This has been a perfect addition! I alternate between three different ingredient options; lamb, beef, and fish. I use them as a topper for his breakfast so the small bags work just fine as we will typically go through three a month. The ingredients are all human grade and full of amazing nutrients to help provide a balance diet. I love the fact that the Brand is completely transparent about the ingredients and where they are sourced. I will continue to order and try all the different options from this Brand, minus kibble as I don’t feed my dog any.

**Q: Did your bag come with a scoop? Mine didnt..how many cups is the "scoop"?**
A: It does not come with a scoop. Feeding guide is on the bag in cup measurements

**Q: Is it soft or crunchy?**
A: The freeze-dried nuggets are between soft and crunchy; not pliably soft, but definitely not hard. Crumbles apart with your fingers.

**Q: What are the ingredients**
A: Ingredients: Pasture raised lamb, lamb heart, lamb liver, ground lamb bone, carrots, blueberries , sunflower seeds, squash, spinach , kale , pumpkin seeds , cranberries, fenugreek seeds, montmorillonite clay , coconut oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), salmon oil, chicory root, dried kelp , apple cider vinegar, cinnamon , turmeric, mixed tocopherols (a natural preservative); Vitamin d3 supplement, vitamin e supplement, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, choline; Zinc amino acid chelate , copper amino acid chelate , selenium yeast.

**Q: Is this raw ground up freeze dried beef, etc.?  Do I need to cook it?**
A: It is a mixture of raw meat, bones, organs and veggies with a few other ingredients that appear to be all ground up together, formed into a smallish pellets and freeze dried. So the product is still considered to be raw so it needs to be handled as such. You do not cook it. Just add the recommended amount of warm water and allow to rehydrate. You could also use bone broth instead of water.  My dog didn’t really like it. He liked the Origen brand a little better.

I do not feed my dog freeze dried raw as it can get pricey, but I love to use these as training treats! These are perfect because it is a balanced food I can subtract from my dogs kibble, and not too stinky or messy to be hand feeding him during training sessions. He definitely loves these cause he is hopping to do the next command. Con: Only wish the smaller bag came with more, for the price it still seems a bit expensive for the amount given. Will be purchasing again!
