RV application, 2-6volt batteries, 1-100 watt panel.** A: Yes, as long as installation is not too close to batteries and the area is vented to avoid potential gassing / corrosion issues. And to allow for proper temperature sensing if the unit has only a built in sensor the controller should be is the same area as the batteries. **Q: Does this unit alternate voltage based on battery temperature?** A: The charger will compensate for temperature based on it's internal sensor, essentially gauging the local environment's temperature. It charges battery’s and easy to set up, iv recently upgraded from a generic not mppt solar charger and it was not stopping charging at 100% giving me voltage problems and it would charge slowly. This on the other hand, iv hooked it up put the setting of the battery In and it just works! No voltage problems and charging faster than the old one! My advice is to spend the money!
