This large reversible wooden Ankh pendant is hand carved in Desert Ironwood, a rare hardwood that can be found only in remote parts of the Arizona's desert, a wood highly diverse in colors and patterns, making this pendant unique and one of a kind. It represents the key to the eternal life, which is the general meaning of the symbol in the Egyptian mythology. This particular wood darkens with age. By the time you will receive this pendant the wood might have settled into darker brown tones. The colors look more vivid in bright natural light versus artificial light, where the tones are a little darker and more subdued. Depending of one's monitor the color of the pendant may vary slightly. The pendant measures approximately 2.5" tall by 1.4" wide. This pendant comes with a 30" brown satin cord, ready to wear. The pendant is sealed with three or more layers of wood lacquer in order to protect the wood against moisture and the environment. The lacquer makes the pendant moisture resistant, but not waterproof.
